Wilde_37 Posted March 23, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 23, 2015 (edited) I just downloaded the itinerary of my next cruise - TA from Tampa to Barcelona - via Gibraltar. This is the official itinerary from the RCCL website. Hopefully the captain knows where the heck he is going! He must be thinking of Gibraltar Road in Hull in England! davidcraig2003 Posted March 23, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 23, 2015 There's some nice cities on the North Sea, but I don't think Hull warrants that long a detour!
Pumbaamd Posted March 23, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 23, 2015 Have seen this kind of thing before from RCCL. Maybe they should just let the Auto Club make their maps. R&D
MADflyer Posted March 23, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 23, 2015 That is too funny. I guess the Gibraltar, United Kingdom port listing in some system picked up a link to the Gibraltar Point National Wildlife Reserve in Lincolnshire. http://www.lincstrust.org.uk/gibraltar-point
CVU Posted March 23, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 23, 2015 Allure Jan/Feb 2016 are going to Nassau on both East and West Carib. but Labadee is the excursion site- when you go to book an excursion. Labadee was on our original Western itinerary. A thread has started about this and it said RCL knows about it and it will take a couple of weeks to fix........... So, we can tell the Captain it is not what it says on the web site.:D
papcx Posted March 23, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 23, 2015 I'm not sure what to do. Laugh at one of life's little technology glitches or Shake my head at someone pushing the button to publish.
sddsddean Posted March 24, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 24, 2015 When I used to drive my truck from UK to Austria and back each week, the best one I heard of was a Bulgarian driver driving for one of the Dutch companies who had to do a pick up in Budapest and deliver to Gibraltar. He obviously used a sat nav as he ended up at Gibraltar Point near Skegness, Lincolnshire! You would have though he might have noticed something was up when he crossed the Channel!!:D Simon

spunks Posted March 25, 2015 #10 Share Posted March 25, 2015 Relax Gary....We are on that same cruise, and the way I see it is once we board the ship in Tampa, it doesnt much matter where or when we end up. Remember, Columbus found Spain without a GPS or a smartaleky tour guide...See you on board. Doug
kftw Posted March 25, 2015 #11 Share Posted March 25, 2015 Hopefully the captain knows where the heck he is going! He must be thinking of Gibraltar Road in Hull in England! We're on the same cruise & our Captain is a she instead of a he. You know what they say about women drivers. Ha.
PCWalton1 Posted March 25, 2015 #12 Share Posted March 25, 2015 On our Rhapsody cruise last year Royal was creative with the Hawaiian Islands moving Mount Kilauea to Kauai.
DirtyDawg Posted March 25, 2015 #13 Share Posted March 25, 2015 Will there be any excursions to Withernsea? You can't port in Hull without experiencing Withernsea.:D
CPT Trips Posted March 25, 2015 #14 Share Posted March 25, 2015 Remember when Google had this Easter Egg? See step 12. Sadly they corrected it, but perhaps left similar ones in their navigation apps.
