Globaliser Posted June 21, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 21, 2004 I was advised to make sure I had my big four up to date - tetanus, polio, typhoid and hepatitis A - plus diphtheria for the St Petersburg call. Mind you, the advice I got was that frankly I ought to have the big four up to date if I'm ever going to venture as far as my office, so if they're up to date all the time I can travel most places without even having to think about jabs. ____________________________________________________________ Jewel of the Seas 1-3 May 2004 - see my review here, and my photos here. lysolqn Posted June 21, 2004 #4 Share Posted June 21, 2004 The CDC recommends Hepatitis A, tentanus/diphtheria, and polio. We took the first two but didn't bother with the polio since our doctor said the possibility of unpleasant side effects was greater than the minimal risk of contracting the disease. Roo Posted June 24, 2004 #6 Share Posted June 24, 2004 We were advised by a travel clinic to get those shots mentioned in above posts. We were told dipth. was not as important but the Hepatitis shots were.
