liberty64 Posted April 17, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2015 Hi, Am looking at the various cabins onboard and am a bit confused as to what this cabin will be viewing. "An Interior with Picture Window stateroom on Carnival Vista gives you a view beyond your stateroom, out to the observation deck outside including a great sky view. (Note that the view will be partially obstructed.)". What is the observation deck? Is it just a sky view? Thanks
bridgetjonesni Posted April 17, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 17, 2015 (edited) It's something like this. Have a look on Google images for "carnival 4j" for examples. Edited April 17, 2015 by bridgetjonesni
liberty64 Posted April 17, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted April 17, 2015 Wow thanks for the pic. For the price, that looks pretty good :) (I wonder how public the walkway will be and if it gets much noise?

I agree we booked one of these! People told me that hardly anyone is ever out on those walkways but because of the bridge and whatnot they can ask you to keep your curtains closed at night. We booked a high up one because I read about some people saying they could hear the waves hitting the front of the ship. crzndeb Posted April 17, 2015 #5 Share Posted April 17, 2015 I have heard good things about these rooms, so I booked the same cabin for a B2B2B next year on the Vista.
tlcs Posted April 17, 2015 #6 Share Posted April 17, 2015 We booked one of these cabins for our Vista cruise. I've heard good things about it and we've been up on those decks during sailaway or pulling into port, and it's never very crowded.
BaseballMomof4 Posted April 17, 2015 #7 Share Posted April 17, 2015 A friend of mine always tries to get those cabins. They are a bit odd shaped but a little larger. You will have to close the drapes after dark. These are the famous "secret decks" that people are always trying to find. There are fire doors to the deck near to these rooms and they slam pretty loudly but it would seem that most would not be trying to go to the "secret deck" too terribly late at night. CatlinSTJ Posted April 20, 2015 #8 Share Posted April 20, 2015 We are booked in one of these as well. I too was hesitant at first but they actually get really good reviews and seem to be a good value. Next cruise: Carnival Vista - July 2016
dogbert's mom Posted April 30, 2015 #9 Share Posted April 30, 2015 We have one of these booked on the Vista and just got off the Dream where had our first 4j. For the price you can't beat it and there was very little traffic on the deck in front of the rooms. It seemed like some of the passengers from the interior rooms in the front of the ship run out there in the morning to check the weather.
heatherbelle Posted April 30, 2015 #10 Share Posted April 30, 2015 Sushhhhh those rooms are a secret. I was so disappointed that the Spa OV was classed for two as oppose to 3 people on the Vista.
