snorkel or boat rental to Rosario Islands?

A few of us would like to just do a short morning snorkel near/around Rosario islands. I have read that a speedboat takes about 45 minutes to get to that area from cruise ship pier in Cartogena-- Our cruise hours are 7 until 3- So we are trying to find a way to do this- we thought 8 am to 9:00 transportation- 9- 10:30 or so, snorkel, then 10:30 until 11:30 or so return trip. The one trip I found is 8 hours which is too long for our port day. Any suggestions?

Did you end up doing this? There for two days as well & still toying with ideas for day 2
