CasinoCruzGirl Posted April 24, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2015 So since so much negative threads lately let's talk about positives of NCL. Freestyle dining. I like that option a lot, there are lots of other things I like about NCL. The prices I get through CAS are great also.
monkeybone Posted April 24, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2015 I like the entertainmet on NCL. The CAS program is why I first tried NCL and continue to cruise with them :)
ramidon1 Posted April 24, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2015 I like that they have some of the newest, most innovative ships at sea with tons of bells & whistles & even considering the nickel & diming are still way cheaper than Royal Carribbean's mega ships! Shayhooper Posted April 24, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 24, 2015 The wait staff are not forced to sing cheesy songs and dance during service. I've always felt badly when I've seen it on other lines.
rochelle_s Posted April 24, 2015 #5 Share Posted April 24, 2015 I like NCL because you can meet some of the nicest peopel on the ccNCL boards. I'm also a big fan of booking through CAS! Rochelle

hpecorari Posted April 24, 2015 #7 Share Posted April 24, 2015 I really love the freestyle. I love eating when I want....with who I want. Sometimes we do feel like sharing a table and other times we don't. We never know what we're doing during the day so freestyle dining works for us. I love the live music by the pool. Some ships don't have that. I also think that the crew is very friendly and I have no idea how they can remember so many names from one week to another. I just 'feel good' when I'm on NCL. SuiteCruiser Posted April 24, 2015 #9 Share Posted April 24, 2015 (edited) I love the amazing people that you meet while on an NCL ship, or through the people I meet online. I love eating where and when I like, same as Harriet, and I find their staff the best at sea. Even though I've found some issues with DC's, most people I've met are great. Far better than other lines. Edited April 24, 2015 by SuiteCruiser
GrabMyWrist Posted April 24, 2015 #10 Share Posted April 24, 2015 I've seen more of the world in three cruises than I did in ten years in the military. My wife and I have spent some truly romantic, relaxing and rejuvinating time together. The shows, meals, crews and staff are fabulous.

mypleasure Posted April 24, 2015 #14 Share Posted April 24, 2015 I love being able to do things when I want to do them. I can eat when I want, where I want and am not forced to eat with a bunch of strangers that we have little in common with. I also like to be able to pay for those things I want and use and to not have to subsidise other folks using things I have no need or interest in. I get to style my trip to be exactly what I want it to be. I love the happy, cheerful, smiley crews and the visible and approachable officers too. sc2011 Posted April 24, 2015 #15 Share Posted April 24, 2015 I'll second that notion *Living Large* Agreed. I like preconcierge. I like the Haven being a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the big ships. I like priority embarkation and disembarkation. I like the heated tile loungers in the spa. Coastalbreezes Posted April 24, 2015 #16 Share Posted April 24, 2015 We love seeing familiar faces - staff and crew. It feels like coming home. Exactly what I was going to say especially because I sail solo most of the time. It makes me happy when crew members greet me by name and make it a point to see that I'm having a good time. I would add that despite the upcharges, I love the variety of dining choices. I go to a different specialty every night. Tracy
Adele1 Posted April 24, 2015 #17 Share Posted April 24, 2015 Maybe I am a Pollyanna but it seems that the staff is always happy to see & greet you. Re prev. posts, I have been fortunate to make friends with folks I have met at the Meet & Greets from all over the world. In fact a couple from Europe will be visiting me shortly to tour the U.S.

I've always felt badly when I've seen it on other lines. If they did this on NCL, I wouldn't cruise! How awkward and uncomfortable! Thanks NCL for not putting us thru that! janpo Posted April 24, 2015 #21 Share Posted April 24, 2015 I love the feeling of walking on the ship knowing you have a whole week ahead of you of fun . Nothing but whatever you feel like doing. I love how the staff treats you like royalty and I love the freestyle. That's what attracted us to NCL in the first place.
watchdiva Posted April 24, 2015 #22 Share Posted April 24, 2015 Love Deck 10 AFT SF suites on Pearl, Dawn, Star and Jewel and being able to stretch out on my padded lounger and enjoy an afternoon snack of shrimp cocktail and cheese with sparkling cider. tumblew467 Posted April 24, 2015 #25 Share Posted April 24, 2015 Besides the Freestyle cruising. I love getting back to the ship after a long day in port --and -being greeted by the crew and officers -hearing the music playing dockside -the crew dancing and interacting with the cruisers -getting a cold towel handed to you when it is hot out -cold refreshments offered -no one welcomes back their cruisers like NCL.
