jjmock Posted April 27, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2015 My daughter and her family will be sailing soon in a Family Verandah. She is bringing her two toddlers, who, according to the rules, are not allowed in pools because they are still in diapers. She was wondering if she might bring a small inflatable pool, nothing large, maybe 48" across, just something they could splash a bit in out on the large FV balcony. She already knows that she'll need to be careful and mindful of spilling water, especially when emptying it, probably using a bucket to dump into the bathtub. Any chance anyone has ever done this before?
suekay Posted April 27, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 27, 2015 We did in an aft balcony cabin on Splendour of the Seas when we travelled with our 11 month old grand daughter. We bailed it out into the water drain in the corner of the balcony.
grandgeezer Posted April 27, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 27, 2015 When I saw the title of the post, I thought Celebrity was doing away with their pools, to put in more bars and specialty restaurants, and use an inflatable pool as necessary. LOL...No, unlike many here I am not one to kvetch and commiserate about how I am so upset about the state of cruising on Celebrity today. I would much rather enjoy myself and relax..... jfslcruise Posted April 27, 2015 #5 Share Posted April 27, 2015 Did this very thing on Enchantment of the Seas years ago. I think we brought along a soft-sided cooler or some such sturdy flexible plastic container to fill it up.
ian09 Posted April 27, 2015 #6 Share Posted April 27, 2015 On the Reflection in September a young couple brought an inflatable to the pool area. They had it set up in one of the shaded areas so it wasn't in a high traffic spot. It seemed that the crew got a kick out of this so I'm assuming it was not an issue. glenneagle Posted April 27, 2015 #7 Share Posted April 27, 2015 We have used the inflatable pool on the pool deck. The pool staff stored it for us at the end of each day and brought it out every morning It was no problem. Enjoy your cruise
judygund Posted April 27, 2015 #8 Share Posted April 27, 2015 Read somewhere that a small inflatable pool is great in the shower to use as a tub for the little ones. Thought is was a great idea.
cb at sea Posted April 27, 2015 #9 Share Posted April 27, 2015 Not an inflatable pool, but an inflatable TUB for the shower! A pool will NOT fit!!!
