This currently comes to $12 per day per person if you are in a JS or below. Edited April 27, 2015 by clarea
Rare JessyCruises Posted April 27, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 27, 2015 It is automatic. You will be given "wow" envelopes if you want to give someone extra
ryano Posted April 27, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 27, 2015 Is it automatically charged to our credit card we will be using or do we still need cash in hand for tips? A daily amount of 12.00 per person (a little if in JS or above suites) will be automatically billed to your Seapass onboard account for gratuities. Any cash you want to give out will totally be at your own discretion. Some people have the daily gratuities removed from their onboard account and just pay in cash. Personally, I leave the daily amounts in place and give cash for any "above and beyond" service.
LilBlackDress Posted April 27, 2015 #5 Share Posted April 27, 2015 As others have said its billed daily etc and the 'wow' envelopes for a lil extra. But I wanted to add.... if you are ordering room service it is nice to have cash available. Casino money and also excursion tip money.

griffy116 Posted April 28, 2015 #7 Share Posted April 28, 2015 Tips for room service are not included in the daily gratuities so if you use room service, you should tip in cash with each delivery. Size of tip depends on how much you order. I usually only get coffee in the mornings and I tip a couple of $1's. We have a couple of 20 somethings and they like to order pizza and a few of the cookies later at night. They usually tip $5 for their order, just to give you a couple of examples. SAVVO Posted April 30, 2015 #8 Share Posted April 30, 2015 Are the tips given in dollars or euro on a europe cruise? also what currency in the casino?
Clarea Posted April 30, 2015 #9 Share Posted April 30, 2015 Are the tips given in dollars or euro on a europe cruise? also what currency in the casino? Casino is always USD. Tips are your choice, the crew are probably happy with any currency they can spend locally.

I get a bunch of $2.00 bills before I leave on a trip (readily available at no extra charge from any bank). Saves carrying a bunch of one's around and everyone seems to appreciate them more. Easy to tip porters, too, when you have those bills.
fenton04 Posted May 4, 2015 #11 Share Posted May 4, 2015 I like the two dollar bills likewise and my bank seems happy to get them off their Hands.
