Day-of-the-Week Elevator Rugs

We had these in the glass elevators on the Westerdam last week:

[Pic deleted to save space.]

They are an odd shape, but they can do it!:)

(The fore and aft elevators had the regular rectangular ones.)

Thanks, Ann - I'm looking forward to seeing the DotW rugs back on the Westerdam again in a few weeks ... it'll certainly seem more like home.

Smooth sailing,

Rod

Just stay away from the central elevators mid-ships! Eek:eek: No days - I couldn't bear to take a picture.... You're okay for days fore and aft.

Thanks again ... I have duly noted your words of caution and will avoid using the central mid-ship elevators ... however, I may sneak a peak or 2, just to see if the DotW rugs are back there again and, if so, I'll take a picture for you!

From what I understand the Vista Class does not have the day of the week rugs in the elevators but all the others have them.

When we boarded Westerdam on April 4, we were happily surprised to see the Day-of-the-Week rugs on all elevators except enclosed mid-ship elevators. Since we love this feature, we hope they will be on all ships soon.

The rugs were not on our Christmas cruise aboard Eurodam however, so I'm glad to read that some of the cruises aboard her also had the rugs.

On a cruise, we don't care what day of the week it is either, except for our photo album. First thing each morning, before heading out, we take a pic of the day-of-the-week rug. That way, when we get home we know which day we experienced those wonderful memories. Plus it makes organizing an album into a photo story etc.
