Nic&Greg Posted May 17, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 17, 2015 I know when I went on a Princess cruise a few years ago I took my cruise card to the main desk and they punched a hole in it for me so I could use a lanyard that attaches to the actual card instead of a plastic pouch (which I have had tear before). Anyone know if RC will also do this for you and if so, where?

nolesrule Posted May 17, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 17, 2015 Adventure Ocean will do it for you too, but they might look at you strange if you don't have any kids with you.
griffy116 Posted May 17, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 17, 2015 I'm hoping they will still do it in the casino (much shorter line than Guest Services), especially on the day you board.
impatientlywaiting Posted May 17, 2015 #6 Share Posted May 17, 2015 If the line at Guest Services is long, a staff member will come down the line and when they find out all you need is a hole punched in your SeaPass card, that staff member will take you directly to the desk to have your SeaPass card punched. :)
emeraldcity Posted May 17, 2015 #7 Share Posted May 17, 2015 I would ask at Check-in ... you've already got somebody's attention there. They should certainly have a hole puncher
Nic&Greg Posted May 17, 2015 Author #8 Share Posted May 17, 2015 I'm wondering if I could just bring a hole punch myself?
njsonja Posted May 17, 2015 #9 Share Posted May 17, 2015 If you are OCD like me, i bring my own. However, on the Quantum when i punched the card, it rendered it useless....you cannot have a hole in those...so people buy the lanyards with the little plastic pocket to put your card in. Once when going through security, they thought it was a weapon and laughed when I told them what it was. So I'm going to assume, it won't work on the Anthem either. Just ask before you do it. Tim,n,Sue Posted May 17, 2015 #10 Share Posted May 17, 2015 I'm wondering if I could just bring a hole punch myself? We bring our own hole punch. Never had a problem.
lakelorain Posted May 17, 2015 #11 Share Posted May 17, 2015 We also bring our own hole punch. You can get a small one that is easy to take with you. Mine is always in my suitcase.
Tiggertastic Posted May 17, 2015 #12 Share Posted May 17, 2015 Just a question, why does it render it useless on quantum?
clm1982 Posted May 17, 2015 #13 Share Posted May 17, 2015 We got of Radiance a month ago and ours already had a hole.
Desert Cruizers Posted May 18, 2015 #14 Share Posted May 18, 2015 We have had sea pass cards punched in the gift shop, but usually take it to guest services
shorehaven Posted May 18, 2015 #15 Share Posted May 18, 2015 Just a question, why does it render it useless on quantum? Because the Quantum / Anthem's cards have RFID technology built into them, so making them basically like a smart card.
Trekker954 Posted May 18, 2015 #16 Share Posted May 18, 2015 That Radiance person must have boarded in Australia. We were last on the Rhapsody sailing out of Sydney and when I received my sea pass it already had a nice round hole already punched in its corner. How clever I thought. And how many sales they made selling lanyards....yes clever indeed. I'm baffled that RCL doesn't do that across its fleet regardless of location sailing. I also sometimes use the type of lanyard I need an elongated hole. I actually purchased one of those punchers because the customer service desk only had the round hole and would punch it three times, I didn't like the way that looked. I vote that RCL punch all corners with a round hole.
