ched999uk Posted May 26, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2015 Sorry for the silly question. I have been trying to find out more about the Coca Cola Freestyle machines on some of the ships. I found out that there is an App so you can setup mixes. So when you go to the machine the app can show the machine a code and you don't have to stand their selecting the mix you want. Being in the UK I have found the app as Google Play wont allow me to download as not a UK app. But I have not been able to 'sign in'. Does anyone know if the app works on the RCI Coca Cola Freestyle machines? Any info you can provide would be very helpful. Thanks.
Rare JessyCruises Posted May 26, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 26, 2015 (edited) I don't thing the machines RC can do this. I was on the oasis in Nov & the freedom in March and used the machines a lot. I did not see anywhere you could enter a code. Also, while you can flavour your pop (ie make coke orange coke, or make sprite cherry sprite), you could not mix pops (ie you could not mix coke & sprite). My son likes what we call swamp water (mixed pop types) and we did not see a way to do it Edited May 26, 2015 by Canadian Disney Mom

After a bit of searching it appears that the machines that work with the app display a QR code (square code with dots) in bottom right corner of screen. You then use the 'bar code' scanner on smart phone and it then downloads your custom mixes and favourite drinks to the machines screen and you pick fro the screen on the machine. I believe that Coca Cola only introduced the app early this year so the RCI machines might not be updated yet. You don't happen to remember if the machines dispense ice for the drinks do you? Once again thanks very much for your help.

If he moves the cup, as you know, he would then have to wait the 15 minutes, or whatever the number is currently, until he could fill again. As far as the app, I don't think the machines on the ship have that ability.

Could you fill the cup with ice and then top up with the drink of your choice? Is it big ice cubes or shaved ice? Thanks very much.

Thanks very much. As long as you have the special cup from the soda package with the RFID chip in the bottom, you can make your drink anyway you would like. You can only use the cup every 15 minutes or so, there is a message that comes up telling you that you have to wait x minutes until your next drink. This is to help prevent sharing. We saw one family get a drink for one person, dump it into a different cup and then try to get a different flavor for the next kid. Machine wouldn't allow it and they got mad and went to return the cup an get a refund. We love the variety, especially of sugar free drinks, since my DH is diabetic.
