tangogulf Posted May 29, 2015 #26 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Radiance Class - love the light provided by the vast areas of glass allowing natural light inside most areas of the ship. Fantastic placement of CL and DL. Love the outdoor WJ area. Whilst I'm going on a voyager class ship next season I'm looking forward more to the itinerary rather than the ship. But I remain to be surprised.
Klstaack Posted May 29, 2015 #27 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Get there early. They do a pretty good job of enforcing the vacant chair rules though The beach pool was my favorite on Oasis. I loved the umbrellas...I wish they had them in more areas to provide shade while at the pool. The one thing I did not like about the beach pool though is that is the only pool that is salt water...and not like a nice saltwater what your backyard pool is....but sea water. Maybe they changed this during dry dock. Even though I loved this area I never got in the beach pool.
Justmekaren918 Posted May 29, 2015 #28 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Radiance class: The water elevators and the comfy chairs on the back patio for enjoying a meal and watching the water go by.

treborrv Posted May 29, 2015 #30 Share Posted May 29, 2015 I love the artwork, particularly the hidden portholes, on Allure. I spent a few hours on a sea day just wandering around the ship looking at the paintings and sculpture and such. I also love the promenade area on the Oasis/Freedom/Voyager class ships, particularly when there are events or parades going on. Pool deck on Oasis class is phenomenal. And the solarium night parties (usually well attended by the cast/crew of the RCCL shows) are fun as well.
Paulette3028 Posted May 29, 2015 #31 Share Posted May 29, 2015 We have not been on all of them…. Sovereign – (Her Majesty) it is good to remember that cruising wasn’t always about how much of an amusement park can be put on a cruise ship. Love the simplicity. Vision -- (Enchantment) lovely areas to walk through especially after the stretching and the overpass was added. Radiance -- (Jewel) the elevators and all the glass. Small venues for activities, that still held plenty of people and made it cozy (could be seen as crowded at times). Voyager – (Navigator) – the Promenade – we did not appreciate it as much as we should have, since she was our very first cruise. Flowrider a good addition. Freedom – (Liberty and Indy) – The Promenade – learned to appreciate it quite a bit…on Indy loved the On Air lounge. Nice to have Flowrider on board. Oasis – (Allure) the neighborhoods of Central Park and Boardwalk; but missed being able to easily see the ocean from areas other than the pool decks. The shows make it different, but not necessarily better (IMO)….looking forward to the waterslides being added and love Flowrider.

depplep Posted May 29, 2015 #34 Share Posted May 29, 2015 I don't think I would describe it that way. As Bob said, the loungets are in the water, at least the front row. However the pool itself goes fro about 4 inches deep to 5' deep with a normal wall. It also has umbrellas with tables. Those come in handy since the lounges are in the water I see all the umbrellas in the photos, is it possible to sit there without the umbrella and not affect your neighbor who might like the shade? I would like to be close to the pool, but I want full sun.
Rare John&LaLa Posted May 30, 2015 #35 Share Posted May 30, 2015 Hard to say, ship moves, Sun moves, shade moves. My experience is the person next to table is in control. Also, the pool staff likes to be the one to open them. Something to do with securing the cord
