LovetheSea Posted September 14, 2005 #1 Share Posted September 14, 2005 I was just looking at the live cam of Ketchikan and it showed the Mercury leaving town. Time there just after 2 pm. I also checked the live cam on the ship. It said on Kroooz cams that it is supposed to be there until 6 pm today? Does anyone know why they left so early? Is the itinerary different this week because it is the last Alaska cruise of the season? I am very curious. Hope there is nothing wrong? :(

LovetheSea Posted September 14, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted September 14, 2005 Hi windermere. I was just thinking about you two as well :) I hope you have a fun time too. It will be nice to get away. Even if it is only for three days. Still don't know what we will do in Nanaimo?
Rstamper Posted September 15, 2005 #4 Share Posted September 15, 2005 LovetheSea, I will be on the Mercury on Friday. We have a CC get together if you would like to come, just go to the Roll Call boards and read about it. Hope to see you. Rstamper

trcori Posted September 15, 2005 #6 Share Posted September 15, 2005 We were on the same Mercury cruise three weeks ago (8/26 cruise). When we booked it, the brochure itinerary was for a 3 pm departure from Ketchikan. When we boarded, we learned it had been moved up to 2 pm. Looking at the itineraries in the X computer for next year, it's now a 1:30 departure. Very short stop. (The Skagway day also was shortened from the original brochure plan, which was a 5 pm departure; by the time this cruise season started, it was 3 pm.) Still a wonderful cruise but Juneau is the only long port day -- TR
LovetheSea Posted September 15, 2005 Author #7 Share Posted September 15, 2005 Wow , that is a short stop in Ketchikan! I was there on the Coral Princess in May and was able to stay there the whole day. It is too bad they can't make that longer. I LOVE Ketchikan. Rstamper... I posted on the roll call. If you look I was posting for a while there but when we thought we may have to cancel our cruise I stopped. But we will be there for sure now! Yeah! See you soon.
