We are considering July 4 Empress trip. 1st cruise of this type.

We love to dance to the oldies (not the disco stuff). Can't find mention of this anywhere. Is there a dance floor and dance music?

Yes, there are two dance floors onboard. One is in the Paddlewheel Lounge where last week a fantastic pianist played a wide variety of music and interacted with the passengers. I didn't see much dancing going on there. Also there is a large dance floor in the main show lounge on the main deck. Each evening there was dancing to a four piece band in that room.
