I booked one of the Summer Sizzle offers for the 8/4 sailing on the Empress.  I got the email from RCL about the itinerary change and the 50% refund OBC offer if you keep the booking.  I had only paid taxes for my interior ($149.97) so I was not sure what to expect for OBC, if anything.  I called a few days ago to ask and the CR rep told me that I would be getting 50% of the fare on the invoice BEFORE the comp was applied for a total of $1150 OBC.  I did not have that in writing so I was taking that with a grain of salt.  I emailed Casino Royale to confirm and just got the following response.  Looks like the rep was correct and I will be getting $1150 in OBC.  It is kind of crazy, but I will take it!

Thank you for contacting Royal Caribbean’s Club Royale regarding your upcoming sailing on the Majesty of the Seas in reservation number 6868048. We would like to extend our apologies for any inconvenience that the recent announcement from the United States government regarding that effective immediately, educational and recreational (or people-to-people) travel to Cuba is no longer permitted may have caused.

 

While this decision is completely outside of our control, our goal remains the same – to make sure you have a fantastic vacation! Therefore, for all guests impacted we are offering additional compensation based on the sailing that you are booked. For reservations that are within their final payment date and are choosing to stay with us for the new itinerary you will receive a refundable onboard credit for $50% of your cruise fare paid. This amount is based on your total cruise fare, excluding taxes & fees.

 

Based on your reservation you will receive $1,151.00 of onboard credit. Onboard credit can be used for drink packages, spa & fitness center packages, shore excursions, for gaming in the casino, and other purchases onboard. If any amount of this onboard credit is not spent during your time onboard, you will receive a refund at the end of the cruise.

 

If you had already scheduled any shore excursions for Cuba these will be cancelled and fully refunded to your original form of payment.

 

Alternatively, you have the option to cancel by June 19, 2019 and receive a full refund. We hope that you choose to stay, however we understand that this change will be disappointing to many who were hoping to see Cuba for the first time. Please note, if you choose to cancel your reservation no additional compensation will be provided on future sailings.

 

It is important to us that every aspect of your vacation is enjoyable, we have no doubt that your time onboard will be amazing. We would like to thank you for your understanding and patience in these matters.

Just got a Bankroll Blitz (H19BALL05 - Free inside for 2).  Unfortunately due to maxed out vacation days we cannot take advantage of any of them.  Too bad the 12 night Anthem Christmas+ NYE is completely sold out.  Don't know why they bothered to even put that one on there !  Couldn't have gone anyway but hopefully others got onto that one before it filled up.

I just got the Bankroll Blitz too, but mine is for $500 off and it's the same cruises as the Football offer. There's no 12 night Anthem Christmas/New Years cruise on Anthem - only the 12 night December 8th. Any other Anthem sailing showing up on yours?

You are so right, Gayle !  The game day is Dec 22.  The cruise date IS 8 December.  Sorry for the mix-up.

Do you know how the offer works? What kind of tickets? What happens when you get off the ship (e.g., luggage)?

Sorry I really do not know. I wouldn’t have gone to the game even if I had taken the cruise.

The Tax Day one had several 7 night Freedoms.  Summer Sizzle had one 7 night Liberty (8/25).

 

Here are the 3 offers I got.  Mine were all Interior BOGOs.  Hubby got the same ones.  I never did get the email for H19SIZ3 but CR sent me the list
