Anthem is a cold weather ship and hopefully they do bring her back to the states for the holidays / winter months as I have a couple cruises booked on her.

I am probably wrong as John pointed out Central park wouldn't hold up well in the winter on Oasis.

Plus everything is exposed to the cold. No nice solarium and enclosed pool

So . . . I know my Prime membership is extended to 3/22.  Do I keep the points I earned 2019/ 2020 pre Covid?  Will those points help me qualify for the new year starting 4/22?  Just trying to figure out what I have to do to continue my Prime membership.  Katherine

From what I have learned from Club Royale and the FB group concerning Royal Caribbean Casinos, after March 31, 2021, all club members' points went back to zero, but we kept our statuses from whatever they were in March of 2020.  You should have also earned a total of 2 tier (annual) cruises if you are Prime or above. Once you gamble onboard a Royal ship, you will have from that cruise until March 31, 2022 to qualify as Prime or above for the next "casino" year (April 1, '22 - March 31, '23.)

And on Royal, your points add up for all of your cruises during the whole year. On Carnival, the points are kept only, for each cruise.

This seems like a reasonable enough place to post this even though it's not a cruise offer.

I noticed today that Club Royale has added a couple new perks:

image.thumb.png.ab5d7a67df14425cf395f5c14da72c60.png

5) Art credits vary by tier level and may not be combined with any other Park West promotion. Credit amount offered is a bid credit equal to dollars off toward a single qualifying purchase, applicable to one (1) purchase per voyage. No minimum purchase necessary. 6) Onboard credit amount varies based on voyage duration: $50 on 3-4 night sailings, $75 on 5-6 night sailings, and $100 on 7+ night sailings. Onboard credit is applied directly to your onboard expense account. Credit is non-cashable.

I’m onboard and I was told that despite the wording here, the actual perk of a $1,000 credit requires a minimum $2,000 purchase. Bait and switch again.

That even removed it from the current list of benefits.

(That said, they did say that they would honor it to the two guests onboard Oasis of the Seas who brought this up to them.)

  • 2 weeks later...

Has anyone else had instant reward certs disappear from their account?  We just did a B2B2B on Odyssey and just tried to book a cruise using the $$ off certs we earned on the last sailing.  They were on the clubroyaleoffers site yesterday (we had 3 each) and now only 1 is there and of course it is not the one  we want to use.  I am on the phone with them now and they cannot find it and are saying we don’t have other offers.  We never got the paper copies from the 9/5 sailing but it was 100% on the site yesterday

JessyCruises, happened to us as well. Spent 45 minutes on the phone this morning with a really good CR telephone representative from the Philippines.

Hoping her efforts get this resolved.

It seems at least once weekly, some CR tech glitches impact our accounts.

Ask a rep to look up the points you earned on the missing sailing, and they can send an internal email with a screen grab of that sailings points, which should serve to evidence the level offer you earned on that missing cruise.

Be persistent, and good luck.

Thanks.  I had sent an email yesterday morning when I noticed it but did not receive a response.  When I called the first time last night they said there was nothing they could do. I asked to speak with a supervisor and they said sure then disconnected my call (I am assuming it was an accident, but who knows).

I called right back and got someone else. I had to explain the issue 5 times and eventually they understood.  They said they would book the reservation I wanted as “pending” and send it up the food chain to make sure I qualified for the offers.  If I did not, they said I would immediately owe the balance (sail date is Oct 31). I explained that I 100% qualify and if they did not allow us to use the offers, we would cancel and expect our money back .  They tried to get me to pay the full $500 deposit but our balance should only have been $340 after the offers so I asked that I only be required to pay that amount to hold the reservation and they accepted.  They said it would take a day or two to get the offers applied, if they could be.

When I checked this morning, the offers are back on the site.  I am not sure if that is a result of my email, the phone calls, or if it was just a glitch that has now been corrected.  I will be calling shortly to make sure the offers get applied.  I don’t want it to get forgotten.

Anyone here have knowledge on what happens if I book my annual tier cruise and don't show up?  Laura will already be aboard and in the cabin from prior week.

I asked on main boards and didn't get many responses.

Thanks

If you book for 2 using your annual tier cruise and dont show up then they will have her pay the prevailing rate or walk the gangplank.

Pretty sure this goes for any casino comp offer.

Thanks. I understand. Sort of.

I just can't see someone knocking at her door prior to sailaway with a bill or an eviction notice.

They wont catch up prior to sail away but during the cruise they probably will.

I think was either 2018 or 2019 we had booked annual tier under Eric's name and he had some medical stuff going on days before the cruise so I called to see if I could go without him and was told No I would have to pay whatever full price was that day.

Figure they want you, the prime member, onboard to play in the casino

Has anyone asked if the annual free cruise can be used for Wonder of the Seas?

Yes. I redeemed an annual tier benefit online for the 3/4 sailing, received an e-mail telling me that my offer was redeemed. Went to look at the Receipt, and saw that they applied my signature trade-in value ($1,000) and did not provide me a comped balcony cabin. They wanted $1,400 plus, taxes and gratuities. To book a balcony cabin at that time online at Royal Caribbean (not Casino Royale) website was only $1,600. So, essentially, they would provide me a balcony cabin after application of my annual tier benefit, for $200 more than for what RCL was selling that same cabin. $200 versus $1,000 trade-in value. HMMMMMMM! Needless to say, I cancelled that booking and got my tier benefit back.

Better heads prevailed and I will just join Laura on the 1st booking. Now to figure out what to do with Bella.

Did you try calling clubroyale to get the pricing straightened out and have it applied as your annual tier?       I have never had any luck with booking the casino cruises online.    I always call clubroyale direct to book and have found them to be most helpful.

Anyone know what the outcome of the following scenario might be: Received a mailer for a complimentary cruise, so wanted to see if I might be able to book it online.  Was able to do so, received an invoice to pay a small deposit (assume some taxes and fees).  But missed the 24-hour window to do so, as trying to decide if I really want to take the particular itinerary in question.  Anyways, if I decide I want to, can I call them and "re-do" the booking?  Thanks in advance.
