We’re on board now and I’ll see you on the 10/6 sailing :)

Best of luck, machines are tight :o

Just back from Liberty cruise out of Galveston. Many machines changed out since January cruise. We did not play much.

It seemed the payers were in the circle of new Asian games like 88 drums, etc. I saw 3 jackpots there. One was $2100 with 88 cent wager !

Was that on the 1¢ or 2¢ machine. Anthem had both. When I first started to play I thought I was playing 8.80 a spin and then realized it was actually 17.60 a spin on the new 2¢ machine.

1 cent machines.

Other jackpot I saw was $2.64 bet and $1.76 bet.

First time I've sailed on Royal Caribbean - it was Serenade of the Seas to Bermuda. I looked for video poker machines with multiple hands and they had none - had one bank of single line VP with play starting at .25 and up. Pay tables were terrible, but they are on other lines I've sailed on, too. I played fifty cent and dollars and was quite lucky in spite of the ugly pay tables. First time I've walked off a cruise with more than I started with. My favorite line is Celebrity and it remains so after this cruise - I especially like the smoke free casino on Celebrity. Also seemed like staff in the casino was friendlier on Celebrity. I did earn a free cruise for my play on RC.

. I did earn a free cruise for my play on RC.
What are the criteria applied to get a FREE cruise? Does the FREE cruise depend on--

1. If you gamble "x" amount?

Or

2. If you win "y" amount?

Or

3. If you lose "z" amount?

If so, what are "x, y and z" ?

Thanks

On average with Royal Caribbean how much do you have to spend to **earn** a free cruise?

Play in casino with your Seapass card. Earn minimum of 2400 tier points gets an inside room.

3600 oceanview

4800 balcony

New gaming card system total of 2500 points during the year gets annual free inside room, and free drinks.

If you lose a bunch you can also get a room for that. I don't know this break point. Might be "top secret". You will likely have to ask the casino host or Casino HQ to get it.

Thanks, so I assume it's not how much you win or lose, but how much you play that gets you tier points.

By playing how much $$$ on the tables and slots can you reach 2500 tier points?

Tables is a mystery, but slots is $5 per point. Laura played $5 per pull on WoF and got 1 point every pull. 800 points was $4,000 played

Just a comment from me. Earlier i posted the $2100 win with 88 cent bet. Later in the week i spoke with the woman on Saturday as she was getting an Oceanview certificate. Dumb old me said "why didn't you just keep the $2100 to pay on another cruise ?" She replied "with the cert I don't have to do double occupancy. I just pay the taxes for myself and get the cabin."

Dumb on my part as obviously she likes playing in the casino. Duh. However only making 1 tax payment was new info if cruising single.

She also added that she "broke even".

Probably lost $1,300 over two weeks.

A 32.5% loss of her starting capital of $4000 in just 2 weeks.

So, to reach 2500 tier points for a free cruise, one needs to play $12500 with a likely loss of approx.32.5% or $4062.50 (give or take a bit).

No wonder they will gladly gift a free cruise (or more)!

It's entertaining, who am I to judge. Could have wasted it on a drink pkg, massage, zip line, specialty dining, etc.

The 2500 tier also earns you free drinks in casino for the year, waiver of the 5% cash advance fee, and a few other things

I used a good portion of my Casino money on a watch. Old school but the one I have been looking for. Not likely to keep Prime but will keep my watch.

We buy the drink packages so no benefit of free drinks. I have used the 5% perk before. Haven’t booked our free cruise yet and based on schedule, may not.

I'm new to posting on a thread so please forgive me if it's in the wrong spot.

We're going on the Jingle and Mingle cruise in December and are curious about the "gift" that you can apparently trade in the White Elephant event. The casino rep who did our reservation said it wasn't a "throwaway" gift which has me intrigued. My husband and I are both Prime members after returning to RC. We had been getting a lot of offers from another line and had been using them until we did a big family trip on Allure and RC lured us back. Has anyone been on a Jingle and Mingle and gotten the gift? Just curious what it was.

Thanks!

I know the 2018 Summer Harmony cruise is over. I received that one for a free Balcony, but it was only for cruises during the summer on Harmony.

Does anyone know - If you book an offer with Club Royale, can you transfer the booking to your travel agent?

Yes, but no point in transferring a free one

Lately I’ve noticed that a host was bumping up certificates based on loss. He told me a cert would equal 30% of loss. So if I lost $1,500, even though I may only have 1,000 points, I’d get an $500 certificate.

Yep, happened to Laura last week. 800 points in slots, but less than 100 on the tables. Gave her a $400 cert
