makeda Posted June 24, 2015 #26 Share Posted June 24, 2015 don't really care for chocolate, but a seafood buffet would be great...however, considering the potential for waste (see breakfast bacon), I can understand why that is not gonna happen! bury me at sea Posted June 25, 2015 #27 Share Posted June 25, 2015 I have never taken more than one bite of any of the small samples I have tried from the chocolate buffet. Pretty but either tasteless or have a waxy/plastic taste. Didn't bother to go on last two cruises. Tea is considerably better.
pacer1 Posted June 25, 2015 #28 Share Posted June 25, 2015 Tea Time & Chocolate cake from Room Service. Can't believe it took all these years to find out about the chocolate cake.....thanks to a tip on CC. :)
Sweet Dutch Girl Posted June 25, 2015 #29 Share Posted June 25, 2015 The chocolate buffet was beautiful but the food definitely looked much much better than it tasted. I, too, threw away almost everything on my plate. Fruit was tasteless and mushy, chocolate was waxy to the extreme, cakes and cookies were dry, anything "on a stick" was horrible. The only thing I liked were the chocolate milkshakes and they were only about a good swallow each and they only made a couple. I now just ignore them. Itzmyn Posted June 25, 2015 #30 Share Posted June 25, 2015 I agree that the chocolate buffet is a waste of calories! They look amazing, but the taste is so disappointing. The best chocolate dessert was served at tea time on the Liberty.
love my grandkids Posted June 25, 2015 #31 Share Posted June 25, 2015 Wonder why Carnival has never noticed the waste and made improvements to the buffet?
wemjam Posted June 25, 2015 #32 Share Posted June 25, 2015 Best three chocolate things on the whole ship... candied orange peal dipped in dark chocolate (chocolate buffet), chocolate cake (room service), chocolate covered strawberry's (pay for at coffee shop). IMHO!
