Rare skittl1321 Posted July 14, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 14, 2015 Could someone please walk me through how to prepay gratuities on the website? I cannot find a link to anything that I can do that through. Thank you.
BigBertha81 Posted July 14, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 14, 2015 The only instance that I have seen payment of prepaid gratuities available is when you first book your cruise through the site. Once it's booked I have had to call in to Carnival and prepay over the phone.
oncruisecontrol Posted July 14, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 14, 2015 Call Carnival to pre-pay your gratuities. Make sure you pre-pay for everyone on your booking or your booking will look like it's not paid in full.
Rare skittl1321 Posted July 14, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted July 14, 2015 Thank you! That is very helpful. I've never prepaid them before, but our travelmates wish to, so I told them I'd find out how. I've told her to call.
DaisyGirl55 Posted July 14, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 14, 2015 We always prepay our gratuities. Makes it easier to budget my onboard spending. Sometimes we do it when we book, but most of the time we just call our PVP before our final payment to have them added. If I can pay for some of my charges ahead of time, that is a good thing for me! I think this is the logic my travel-mate is using. For me, I like to keep my money in my accounts as long as possible. No need to give it to Carnival early, I spend the same either way. Different strokes for different folks.
tea4ular Posted July 14, 2015 #7 Share Posted July 14, 2015 We've never pre-paid gratuities before either, but my best friend and traveling mate would like to this trip - I really wish it wasn't an "all or none" thing (meaning all in the cabin must, or none in the cabin) - but no biggie, it's $90 and not breaking the bank. It's on my list of to-do now that we're paid off. :)
jayscore Posted July 14, 2015 #8 Share Posted July 14, 2015 Not saying it will, but, last cruise I prepaid the gratuities and wouldn't you know, the "grat" rate was raised a bit later. My rate stayed the same. Mind you, I always prepay when I book so it's one less thing to concern myself with.
hockeyluver Posted July 14, 2015 #9 Share Posted July 14, 2015 I also prepay, and I buy cruise cash. I try to do this when our $$ is on an upswing which hasnt happened in a while  I like to have as much paid for before the cruise as possible. I just give Carnival a call and they get it done.
