spandance Posted July 14, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 14, 2015 Looking for inspiration for a tour in Langkawi, not keen on swamps or looking at how to make rubber. Is there a nice beach close to the ship, or is there a hop on bus? thank you in advance:)
Iluvcruising2 Posted July 16, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 16, 2015 My parents went on a cruise that stopped a Langkawi for a very short while. They took a ship's bus to town but there was nothing much to see. I read that you can go with a local taxi and pay them to take you to some sights. I'm not sure though. A short vid of what my parents did.
lahore Posted July 21, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 21, 2015 (edited) Suggest perhaps a lunch at Bon Ton resort which has genuine Asian fare and wonderful collection of old Malaysian houses around the pool, great photography opportunity. Or if you want to hire a taxi to go a lot further the beach out at the Datai is spectacular Edited July 21, 2015 by lahore
sambasue63 Posted August 19, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 19, 2015 Just wondering if anyone has been on the Langkawi Cable Car or Skywalk? Thanks Sherenne
tring Posted August 19, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 19, 2015 We dock here immediately after 3 days in Singapore and a day in Kuala Lumpur. Sun beds in the video above look Ok to me, is the shuttle bus to them a general shuttle bus from the ship or is it a special one for a shopping centre? Another post mentions that the beach out at the Datai is spectacular. Is that difficult or expensive to get to? We will be in need of a very easy day by then.
