Nwvp Posted August 4, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 4, 2015 Never done Christmas on a cruise nor never done Christmas in a port. What can we expect on the boat? Will be in puerta vallarta for Christmas eve and Manzanillo for Christmas, what should we expect?
Ine Posted August 4, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 4, 2015 (edited) Christmas in Mexico is celebrated on the eve of December 24th. It is often a family affair, although they often go out for dinner too. Many will attend catholic church that night. Many shops will close earlier because of that. December 25th is just a day off with locals enjoying the beach, having family lunches etc. Not all restaurants and shops will be open that day. CWcruisers Posted August 4, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 4, 2015 In Cabo, most things are open on Christmas day, they open later. Manzanillo is more "real" Mexico, not sure what you could expect there, but definitely, Christmas eve is the bigger day for the Mexicans.
