Getting a VERY last minute deal

Anyone with experience with this. The Ecstasy still has some availability for the 3 day leaving tomorrow out of Miami. Called to get a price and it's over $600 per person for inside.

Last minute thought to do a weekend cruise but can't afford the price. Do they ever reduce last minute?

Try looking at a Cruise Discounter booking agent. Should come up with several with a basic search.

I've read that, too. I've also read that it isn't true. So who knows the deadline?

While I too have seen that before, it is not correct.

 

You can actually call Carnival the morning of boarding day and if a room is available they will book you. But you have to call. You cannot just show up at the port and hope to get a room.

I would think the 72 hour rule was put in place by Homeland Security, depending on what ports of call the ship may visit it might be a waived regulation but I would tend to think its mandated.

If the price was to go down, it likely would be down now. As much as I love that ship, no way in Hell would I pay 600 pp for an inside.

We booked less than 48 hrs prior to sailing last year on the Victory. Loved that spur of moment thing. The last minute deals seem to be dwindling.
