sail7seas Posted August 17, 2015 #51 Share Posted August 17, 2015 (edited) Every time I read the title of this thread, I have to remind myself it doesn't mean someone wants to choose to not live while they are on the ship. Do they want to suicide from the ship? The first time I saw it, I gasped........ :D Edited August 17, 2015 by sail7seas
Rare kazu Posted August 18, 2015 Author #52 Share Posted August 18, 2015 I for one thoroughly enjoyed participating in you live thread and would jump at the chance to do the same again. I'm the sort of person who gets so wrapped up in having fun that I'd forget to keep up the posts if I started the thread myself. But to be part of the communal effort was also part of the fun this last time. Keep doing the 'live' threads Jacqui. We love them and whatever the frequency of posting we'll all be enjoying coming along with you. We did a have LOT of fun, didn't we? So glad you chimed in on the thread, that was what made it so great along with others on the roll call contributing ( I still remember some of the food porn posted). It would be our absolute pleasure to cruise with you two again some day.:) Thanks Chris :) ;
GmaPajama Posted August 18, 2015 #53 Share Posted August 18, 2015 I used to do a Live From almost every time we cruised. Back when we were doing it 3 or 4 times a year. It was a lot of fun for me, and a wonderful way to share my experiences with my friends here on CC. Eventually, I gave it up ... mostly because I couldn't find anything new to talk about. We'd repeated the same ships and the same itineraries so many times I felt like my reports must be boring. The experience itself was not, of course, but I couldn't think of any more ways to say how much I loved it all. For those of you who DO still post from the ships - Please don't stop because you think we, here, don't appreciate it. I don't post much here anymore, but I read every single day, and absolutely LOVE those Live Froms. Sometimes it even feels like I'm sailing right along with y'all. Which really helps when I'm feeling sucked in by that dreaded cruise withdrawal.

Rare 1of4 Posted August 19, 2015 #55 Share Posted August 19, 2015 Isn't it just a crappy feeling when the demands of a few override the wishes of the whole. Reminds me of work. Host Walt posted the only rules and your live reports fit in beautifully. I enjoy your posts when you get time to post them. Your experiences shared have helped so many. It makes me feel anger that you are considering not doing the live from threads. Ignore the critics and listen for the applause. I enjoyed both participating in the last live from and reading it. My threads are not live, they are reviews after I get home. I really appreciate every poster who cares enough to share their experiences live. please don't stop. Khaos WolfKat Posted August 20, 2015 #56 Share Posted August 20, 2015 Just like most everyone else has said, I am grateful to those who post any "live from..." content whilst cruising! Modern society is becoming increasingly plagued with entitlement syndrome. Gratitude is becoming a lost art. The best way to help those poor dears suffering from this toxic ailment is to refuse to buy into their symptoms. Ruth, and anyone else who used to post, but stopped because people were jerks, PLEASE consider starting again, and just ignore the people who don't know how to appreciate a gift. My deciding that a cruise would be something fun for me, anticipation for my cruise, and tons of things I wondered about being answered in far more "hands on" type detail than if I had just posted a question came largely from reading those types of threads. I realise now that I have been remiss in expressing my gratitude, assuming that no one really needed my to chine in and waste their bandwidth with my thanks added to all the rest. I promise to do better, and hope to see lots more posts from port and at sea! And to all of you who have posted them in the past, whether I saw them or not, here is a huge, heartfelt... THANK YOU!!!
