Help with booking on Celebrity Constellation cruise

Hello!

I have decided to book a cruise for next year on the Celebrity Constellation ship. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice re picking a room? We will purchase an oceanview room. I read somewhere that to avoid seasickness, a lower and more central room is suggested.

Celebrity is offering a pick two incentive for booking. Any expert cruisers have suggestions on which are the best deals? Choices are: unlimited internet for 2, $150 pp to spend on ship, prepaid tips for 2, or classic beverage package for 2.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

Deck Plans

Locate your cabin on the deck plans. Choose one that is in the center third of the ship and above and below other cabins for a quiet room that gets the least motion.

As to actual booking, I suggest that you look at online travel agencies which offer perks in addition to the perks being offered by Celebrity - you may wind up with 3 perks! Look for the best deal out there.

If you drink alcohol definitely get the classic beverage package - we had the beverage package on our last Celebrity cruise and it was a great deal and I think I'd choose the prepaid tips as well. This will leave you with not a whole lot to need to spend money on while onboard the ship. Perhaps a specialty restaurant one night or the spa or casino or a little shopping at most. As I recall, because we were on a Med cruise, I only spent money to go to 2 specialty restaurants, so my onboard account was very small indeed!

It is always wise to bring Bonine (Meclazine) along on a cruise. If you do get seasick, go to your cabin and get horizontal on your bed and wait for the Bonine to kick in. Placing a cold can of soda on your neck or a bag of ice will immediately relieve the feeling of wanting to vomit. If the Bonine doesn't work for you, go to the ship's doctor and he can give you a shot. For most cruises, I don't need anything for seasickness most of the time, but I have needed medication going up to Alaska and in the Bay of Biscaye in the open ocean where the water was rough. Caribbean and Med are usually fine, I might take 1 Bonine on the whole cruise.
