champagne123 Posted August 22, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 22, 2015 I am going to book the Harmony...problem is, my son and his wife want to book the Aqua Suite....2 bedroom. Although this cabin is beautiful, I cannot justify the cost. We are only in our cabin to shower and sleep..We ALWAYS get a balcony, but to pay top dollar for an enormous balcony????? Are there benefits that I am not seeing?
Desertbelle Posted August 22, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 22, 2015 My personal feelings is that I would rather cruise more often then pay for a suite. Of course they look amazing, but we can cruise 4-6 weeks a year by only doing a regular balcony. We do justified a balcony because we love our little piece of private outdoor space, and we love the light and air. I think that people who don't cruise often think that the larger cabin will make the cruise better, because they don't fully understand that most of what makes a cruise great happens out of the cabin. :)

RCI Cruisers 004 Posted August 23, 2015 #11 Share Posted August 23, 2015 Just my perspective, but I figure we only live once, and I want to be spoiled on a cruise . From a financial standpoint , I booked an OS for our next cruise when it was announced in Feb of '14. Right now, any last minute cruisers will pay $600 more for a JS then what I paid, and by the time we leave, I will probably match the price of what a balcony will go for. But everybody has their own views and has to make it work for their own budget ! The main thing is we all show up safely and have a great time ! Happy cruising ! Wholeheartedly agree. Given the choice, I would cruise less frequently and take the suite. The amenities for suites seem to surpass those of frequent cruisers. You would be receiving true Royal treatment. If you aren't spoiled for anything else afterward, then go back to your usual balcony cabin for your next cruise. Are there benefits that I am not seeing? In a post all the new suite benefits were outlined and they are very nice. However, in your case it would seem that the biggest benefit would be two bedrooms, one for your son and his wife and the other for YOU. If that isn't a priority, that is fine....then one balcony cabin for ALL OF YOU. You can always get two balcony cabins, and each cabin has its own space..... Unless I am misunderstanding what you have originally posted.
