Traditional dining on the oasis and allure

Recommended Posts

Has the Oasis and Allure stuck with the traditional dining room options, i.e. early and late seating or have they switched over to the new dining options that are on the Quantum and the Anthem and I believe the new Harmony of the Seas. If not has anyone heard about them switching over in the near future? We like the traditional dining option and don't want to book on a ship that doesn't continue to have early and late seating, sitting at the same table and same wait staff each night.

Only Quantum class has dynamic dining.

Every other ship gives you the choice of first (main) seating, second seating, or My Time Dining.

...we tried it on the Oasis. We love not only the same dining staff but the same people.

The problem with the Oasis & Allure is that there are way to many other dining options.

Last year when we went, we were assigned to a table for 10. One night there were 6. All the other nights,4 except for one where we were the only ones !

This time we signed up for 6pm anytime dining & will just ask for a large table each night. This way we will be sure to sit at a full table.

Earlier this year we did a 10 night Alaska cruise on the Celebrity Infinity. Had a table for 10 & everyone always showed up. Pretty much an older crowd & few other dining options.

It really depends on the ship how we book our dining now.

First Dynamic Dining (as per Quantum class) was "coming", then it was "postponed" and now it is "scrapped". So Oasis and Allure will continue with Traditional (early or late seating, same waiter, same time) or My Time (you can just show up or you can make reservations each night for the time that you want). But if you want traditional dining, book sooner rather than later as it does seem to fill out and then you'll be on My Time.
