wasup254 Posted September 9, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 9, 2015 Timing is the key to finding any cruise deal, but it is difficult at times to know when to look, do you look every day on your fav web site? Is there a day of the week when the cruise lines offer solo cruise deals... Do the cruise lines offer solo deals close to cruising date or is it harder to find a solo deal when the sailing is close to leaving? calliopecruiser Posted September 9, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 9, 2015 Pricing is always a factor of supply and demand, which no one can predict. If a voyage is selling well (or even predicted to sell well), bargains of any sort will be hard to find - whether for solos or duos. If a trip is selling poorly, there will be lower prices available, and how low will depend on how much the high supply of cabins outstrips the low demand. Most cruise lines discourage solo travelers and only have sales for singles if they need to fill the ship and they don't think they're going to do it. You might think that means that the price will drop as the embarkation date nears, but if a trip is selling well, it might mean that prices actually go up as the voyage gets nearer. zoncom Posted September 12, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 12, 2015 I would think in terms of time of year; Last week Nov., first 10-12 days Dec. in Caribbean. Transatlantics, with more solos than usual, offer good deals, esp. if you are a good prior cruiser on that line. Ask for singles table when booking. Try calling line direct..
