Can anyone tell me if the Almafi coast and the Campania coast are the same thing. Looking at trips from Salerno to Sorrento and particularly want to go along the Almafi coast but the trip that suits us best says it is going along the Campania coast.

Campania is the region of Italy that Amalfi, Sorrento and Salerno are in. Sorrento is at the end of a peninsula, and Amalfi is on the southern side of that peninsula. So the Amalfi coast is a smaller part of the Campania coast, if that helps. If you go from Salerno to Sorrento, you will also go through Amalfi.

This might help. I find google/yahoo etc. to be an amazing thing !!!!! :D

I think the area of Campania is much larger than just the Amalfi coast. The Amalfi coast is really just the coast along the Gulf of Amalfi …… to the east of the Sorrento on the map.
