mmsoko Posted September 26, 2005 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2005 Would be interested to hear of experiences with any of the tours offered by Coral Princess in Limon. Is the 1 1/2 hour bus ride to the canal tour worth the trip? Any and all comments will be appreciated. Thanks

We took the Costa Rica's Favorites tour and it was outstanding. The aerial tram was sedate and restful (no wildlife except for a few butterflies). The gift shop was excellent (given the length of the tour it might be your best bet for shopping). Lunch was very tasty but the real highlight was the canals. We saw 4 separate groups of howler monkeys, sloths, a huge croc in the water, numerous very large caimans on sandbars very near the boat, big iguanas, bats, abundant water fowl, etc. Highly recommended! mii Posted September 28, 2005 #3 Share Posted September 28, 2005 We also took the Tortugeruo Canal excursion and I agree with Mike in that it was one of the best excursions we have ever taken. It is worth it. Marilyn
WendyG Posted September 29, 2005 #4 Share Posted September 29, 2005 did you book the tour through the cruiseline or on your own?
Mike2131 Posted September 29, 2005 #5 Share Posted September 29, 2005 did you book the tour through the cruiseline or on your own? We booked through Princess. By the way, our guide was one of the best I have ever had. Other passengers on different buses felt the same way, so the company Princess uses is really top notch. Have a great cruise. mmsoko Posted September 29, 2005 Author #7 Share Posted September 29, 2005 It'll be a while b4 we can even book the tours. Any other "must do" tours off the Coral?
