Conversion of money in Buenos Aires

We are on Oceania 10 day cruise leaving Rio on Dec 12 and arriving Buenos Aires where we will take a transfer to the local airport for a flight. At start of trip, will convert dollars into Brazilian money. How do I plan to get cash needed for shore visits in Uruguay? Cash needed to pay the transfer from the Buenos Aires port to the local airport?

may have missed it at the many other ports, but never saw an ATM at the port terminals....airports certainly but not ports. Are you saying this as general suggestion or do you know that the port in Buenos Aires has an ATM

I was making a general comment. I don't know if there's an ATM at the port.

You can always get $100 worth of pesos before leaving, then get the bulk of your cash from an ATM.
