Travalerie Posted October 5, 2015 #51 Share Posted October 5, 2015 HiWe did the priority disembarkation on the Oasis a couple of weeks ago and the process was as follows: We were given red suite/pinnacle tags so our bags were picked up and put in a separate section to everyone else. We meet in the SL. Concierge used his priority key to take us down in the lift. We followed him and criss-crossed through all the large queues (they were stopped so we could bypass them). We were taken as a priority on another lift to get down stairs. We collected our bags from a small area were there were only the red tag bags. We were put into a customs queue were there were only suites and pinnacles so it was quite short. It was the best experience ever. Our last Oasis experience in 2012 (also in a suite), it took us hours to get off this ship, this was seriously 15 - 20 minutes from start to finish if that - so well worth it.:D:D:D More confirmation, thank you!:D
slckac77 Posted October 5, 2015 #52 Share Posted October 5, 2015 Thanks!! Just what I needed to know! I had read that if you had to get bags you were on your own. What is the point of an escort off the ship if you could not bypass the big line at customs? We were just trying to figure out how to pack less so we can walk off with our bags and still get to through customs with the concierge. Sorry to highjack the thread RocketMan275!! You're welcome! My husband said that the suite disembarkation alone made the suite worth the money! LOL

I'm glad you asked those questions. It saved me from starting another thread "Oasis Suites Lounge Disembarkation." We fully intend to pack in two small carry on rolly pollys so we can walk off with our bags. BTW, after looking at your cruise experiences, I certainly hope we get to talk on this cruise. I'd like to get your impressions of celebrity and holland. Edited October 5, 2015 by RocketMan275
wolfganghowell Posted October 5, 2015 #55 Share Posted October 5, 2015 We are doing luggage valet so the escorted disembark sounds great. Well as great as being forced off the ship can be! ;)

My husband got ship envy after seeing the Oasis on our last cruise and that is why we are trying RCCL again. My sailing on Indy was not that great so I had decided I was not going to do RCCL again. However, with CK and our divided room (aft GS) there is more than enough to be excited about on the Oasis. I look forward to seeing you and your wife onboard!! SailyaCruise Posted October 13, 2015 #61 Share Posted October 13, 2015 Thanks Bob. I should just relax but I'm a compulsive planner. I just can't help myself. I blame that on the military. You are a person of my heart.;) Enjoy your cruise!!! I have to wait over a year until Harmony!:(
SailyaCruise Posted October 13, 2015 #62 Share Posted October 13, 2015 I would eat a late breakfast, then check out of the hotel and head to the ship. That way, the 1st thing you do onboard doesn't have to be eating! You can roam about, and get your bearings....cabins will be ready around 1 pm...doesn't matter if it's a suite or inside cabin! THAT is very smart.:) It never really occurred to me to eat late breakfast and skip lunch onboard. I'm usually herding everyone to get us to the port no later than 11am. I'm compulsive about checking on early. Hmmm.
Clarea Posted October 13, 2015 #63 Share Posted October 13, 2015 Do junior suites get to use suite lounge on oasis? However, they do get to use Coastal Kitchen for dinner.
STANMELB Posted October 17, 2015 #64 Share Posted October 17, 2015 Great information. Thought it might be possible that CLS would be available sooner because of the location. Questions: - One. How do you make reservations for Coastal? Just checked the planner and Coastal is not shown as an option. MTD and the specialty restaurants are shown. - Two. Did you dine in Coastal everynight? You found ample choices on the menu? - Have you stayed in 1750? - Just finished our cruise today. Had L1 Crown Loft 1750. Without exception, stateroom was excellent. Cherry will be taking care of your room, she is one of the best. Tell her John and Sandy said "hello". Ate every night at the Coastal Kitchen at 6:30 PM. Perfect time at was just starting to get busy. Don't forget complimentary wine, beer and soft drinks are served from 11:30 AM until 11:00 PM every day, along with cocktails from 5:00 PM until 8:30 PM nightly. STANMELB Posted October 20, 2015 #71 Share Posted October 20, 2015 Thank you for this information. I've looked at the CK menus. Was there sufficient variety? We'll be sure and tell Cherry you said hello. While there is a limited variety, we still ate there every night. We had pasta 2 nights, lobster 1 night ( 2nd Formal night), salmon 1 night, scallops 2 nights and beef 1 night. As there is no bathtub in your Crown Loft, we hung our bathing suits on the downstairs shower fixture. I cannot remember if there was a clothesline. We sailed on Anthem in June and there were some changes on the CK menus from Quantum to Anthem. I'll know if a few weeks about Oasis' CK menus. :) Edited October 20, 2015 by suzyluvs2cruise
