nwcruisemamma Posted September 30, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2015 Hi, I am looking for a mansion or small B&B for a one night pre cruise stay in April. The problem I am running into is all the ones I think are cute don't allow one night stays. Any suggestions for something in French Quarter or within walking distance that is a cute, quaint, mansion, B&B, or boutique hotel under $300? Thanks so much! Rare Saint Greg Posted October 2, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 2, 2015 I haven't done any B&B's. But here are a couple of hotels I've stayed at in the French Quarter that you might consider Boutique hotels that I can recommend: http://hotelmonteleone.com/ http://www.omnihotels.com/hotels/new-orleans-royal-orleans This one I haven't stayed at yet but I will this weekend: http://www.hi-chateau.com/

You can catch the streetcar back into the Quarter.

Rare Saint Greg Posted October 6, 2015 #6 Share Posted October 6, 2015 I would love to hear about your stay at Chateau Lemoyne when you return! Enjoy your stay! Enjoyed it. I would call it "quaint." Valet parking like most hotels in the area. In the lobby the sitting area, front desk, elevators, pool, and bar/restaurant are all within I'd say 30 feet of the door. 5 floor hotel. We were on the 4th floor and didn't have to venture far because our room was close to the elevator. Nice room. It was slightly larger than a normal room because it had a little area with a dining room table. We had a balcony overlooking a side street. The hotel seems to be square with the pool in a courtyard in the middle. Some rooms overlooking the courtyard had a balcony and some just had windows. The bathroom was somewhat small. Other than that my only issue was no coffee pot. And I didn't see any coffee in the lobby so I walked about 5 blocks to Starbucks...which I will sometimes do in New Orleans even when I have coffee available. Here are some room pics
