What is the cuisine on the Empress?

We took a cruise out of New Orleans aboard the American Queen. The cuisine revolved around Cajun and Creole flavors. Is it the same on Empress?

Just retired and looking at trips for 2016. Empress would be high on the list.

I had looked at American Queen before and felt it was a little pricey. My sister proposed that we take Mom on a cruise and they were offering a deal at the time. What the heck. We will splurge and go. We had a wonderful trip. With what was included, I probably spent less money than an ocean cruise. Definitely had a better time.

I have been on both the AQ and the AE during the past year, and I greatly enjoyed both boats. The food on the AE has a Pacific Northwest flair that one would expect while traveling on the Columbia and Snake Rivers. The dinner service and food in the AE's River Grill was simply superb, but book you visits there early as the venue does "sell out."
