ticketsunlimited Posted October 13, 2015 #151 Share Posted October 13, 2015 did you expect 30% off what you are paying now? Of course not. Just figured 30% off two based fares would be better the 50% off of one fare. I understand that the base price goes up and down. its no different than the shoe stores offering you buy one get 50% off and coming back the next month with buy 2 get one free. Its all just another way to get eyes on their website to suck us all in thinking we can do better. Always comes back to the saying if it sounds to good to be true its just another RC BOGOHO sale. dutchclogs Posted October 13, 2015 #152 Share Posted October 13, 2015 Our friends were able to still get their price adjustment yesterday (booked through Royal) and saved $383. They can re-pay me with a drink on-board! :) This mirrors my experience -- price went up before I could contact my TA! Wonder how many bookings triggers a price hike? S.S.Oceanlover Posted October 13, 2015 #153 Share Posted October 13, 2015 I originally thought my rate went up $8 but after contacting our TA we wound up getting $92 off each of our 2 cabins. I wasn't logged into the RCI website when I checked so it didn't take into account our $100 balcony discount.:) Bill
adiamay Posted October 13, 2015 #154 Share Posted October 13, 2015 I was just able to get the 30% off for our Sept. 2016 cruise, we had the BOGO 50% for it. The 30% is saving us $165 and we still kept the $26 onboard credit. More drink money :D
Fl cruiser 2012 Posted October 13, 2015 #155 Share Posted October 13, 2015 I just checked and our Allure Cruise for July 2016 that we booked with the BOGOH sale in August went down just over $500.00 for 1 cabin with 3 people in it and almost $200.00 for the second with 2 people. Summerknight Posted October 13, 2015 #156 Share Posted October 13, 2015 No savings on any of our bookings. The 2017 cruise price went up in conjunction with the sale for all cabin categories.
koolforkatz Posted October 14, 2015 #157 Share Posted October 14, 2015 We saved $900 in total on three cruises, all booked within the last month. And were able to keep our OBC. That buys a few cocktails. Happy :)
muffin Posted October 14, 2015 #158 Share Posted October 14, 2015 Got a saving of $200.00 on the first of a B2B pair, and the second one went up $ 80.00 after all the numbers got crunched. Go figure!! I will take it though! I was on the phone over an hour.....it was on speaker, so I didn't sit there with it at my ear!!!! they were wildly busy. And were having computer glitches...... THEN i found out they are in Oregon, and are there 24 hours a day....i should have called now!! Check it out....and good luck

But why did you go ahead with the reprice on the 2nd leg? You could have taken the savings on the 1st leg and left the 2nd as is...at least that is my understanding since they are separate but connected reservations. cruisenfever Posted October 14, 2015 #168 Share Posted October 14, 2015 Yes, this I know. :)I just couldn't find information whether this offer is valid if booked onboard with a loyalty ambassador. Most Promo's when being shown on the website, unless noted otherwise in the T&Cs, are honored when booking onboard. The Loyalty Ambassadors on board no longer handle booking future cruises. You will have to make an appointment with the Future Cruise Sales rep.:D Enjoy your cruise.
karnze Posted October 14, 2015 #169 Share Posted October 14, 2015 I was able to save a about $300.00 on an Oasis cruise I have booked in early 2017. I booked that cruise while on board freedom a few weeks ago. The only thing is when taking the price dropped I lost the onboard credit I received for booking it on the cruise. Is that correct? cruisenfever Posted October 14, 2015 #170 Share Posted October 14, 2015 We were able to save $224 on our April 2, 2017 cruise on Allure that we just booked in August under the BOGOHO. Not much, but every little bit helps.
fligster Posted October 14, 2015 #171 Share Posted October 14, 2015 Saved $420 on Anthem Aug 2016 sailing. Easy, just called asked to check price, she said it was cheaper, sent me confirmation all in under 4 minutes.

Phone back and have them correct. When they priced my B2B's, both of which had price drops, the confirmations showed one of them was missing the OBC I got for booking onboard. I phoned back and after being on hold for a bit they adjusted it and I got it back.
robin13 Posted October 14, 2015 #174 Share Posted October 14, 2015 No savings for me either. I booked an 8 night Norwegian Fjords cruise for 8/20/16 during the BOGO sale two weeks ago inside cabin category N solo for $1978 (not including taxes) and that same category today is $2077!! Looks like they raised the price of the cruise and then applied 30% to it. Hopefully there will be some price drops before final payment as I am not paying $2k for an 8 night cruise. muffin Posted October 15, 2015 #175 Share Posted October 15, 2015 Sorry I was not clear enough. I did leave the second segment alone when it had gone up....jus t took my reduction on the first! ALERT!! As I mused in bed after all the kafuffle, I realized I had not done the proper search for the second trip. When you are mock booking to see if there is a reduction, be sure and go ALL THE WAY TO THE VERY END ON THE BOOKING PROCESS......put in the names, birth dates etc, and go right to the very end where they want your money....but don't do that. For both our trips there was a difference after the intermediate calculations..the PVP did not even know to keep going. The upshot was that we also got a 175 reduction on the second cruise. Since her computer would not show it, I did a HOLD RESERVATION on my computer, and sent her the reservation number. Only then did she believe the numbers I was seeing on my computer. She was then able to issue the new info and customer confirmation papers. RCL really makes life hard for their staff by hamstringing them with not enough training or whatever. I would not trust simply phoning them,as she insisted her information was correct even as I had a reduced price on my screen. so,so we have to take on this much responsibility as consumers.
