bertyrozla Posted October 18, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 18, 2015 looking to book a cruise for three people to the Caribbean - have been advised no 3 berth cabins available and would therefore have to book two cabins and pay the price for four people. I understand why we would have to pay the fouth person price for the cabin but why would we have to pay the price of the extra person flight when they have the opportunity to sell the additional flight seat - any comments please
FatBoy20 Posted October 18, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 18, 2015 When booking a twin for sole use you are charged for adult price plus a percentage sole use supplement & this is usually between 60-80% dependant on the Cruise. P&O will only quote % when booking/enquiring. With a Fly Cruise the percentage would only be on the Cruise portion.
Rare Host Sharon Posted October 18, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 18, 2015 If P&O are charging for a fourth flight seat, why not book flights and cruise independently or through a TA

sammybonny Posted October 18, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 18, 2015 Superior deluxe balcony cabins usually have a sofa bed and sleep 4 but you dont pay a supplement if only 2 people share they are also quite a lot larger than standard cabins. This can sometimes work out cheaper than 2 insides or outsides especially if it's a saver fare and the price has been reduced.Might be worth looking at. Which ship is it and when are thinking of going?

sammybonny Posted October 18, 2015 #7 Share Posted October 18, 2015 14th nov on azura P&O website is showing availability of saver fares for superior deluxe balcony for this date.It might be worth finding out how much it would be for 3 people. We had this type of cabin in January this year in the Caribbean on Ventura which is the same design as Azura. The full bathroom and extra space was great. natross1110 Posted October 21, 2015 #10 Share Posted October 21, 2015 The flights to the Caribbean are charter meaning only people going on that cruise are on it so they can't sell the seat unless you're not on the chartered flight and are put on a scheduled like BA. That generally only happens when they have just over or not enough passengers to fill a charter flight.
