Vegasthriller Posted November 16, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 16, 2015 Sorry if it's been asked before but just curious if you are travelling with friends and family and don't want to buy internet ($1000+ for 14 day cruise!) how do you go about finding each other and planning meetups etc? NB; We are cruising on Explorer of the Seas in Dec :)
Jacs Posted November 16, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 16, 2015 Probably the best way would be to call their room phone and leave a message for them if they aren't there to speak to, or leave a note in their mail holder outside their room. Or have a set meeting time for drinks each evening where you can discuss the plans for the night.

Beanb41 Posted November 16, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 16, 2015 ring their room number... If you don't know their room number ring guest relations and they will put you through. If they are out leave a message

( and you should know their cabin numbers by the the time you board)
wagtail_syd Posted November 16, 2015 #6 Share Posted November 16, 2015 We leave sticky notes on each others doors saying, "See you at the pool deck in 30 minutes" etc.
Rare Kinkacruiser Posted November 16, 2015 #7 Share Posted November 16, 2015 Just give their surname to the purser - he will make a phone call so you can either speak to them or leave a message.
Suzbluz Posted November 17, 2015 #8 Share Posted November 17, 2015 Walky talkies seem to be popular with some families.
lhesson Posted November 17, 2015 #9 Share Posted November 17, 2015 Good walky talkies come in very handy if handsets are on and charged when you want them[emoji6]. We have used them several times.
retyredgreynomad Posted November 18, 2015 #10 Share Posted November 18, 2015 If you have Android phones you could try Free Walkie Talkies off the Play Store free to download....it sounds like it will work off Cruise ship wifi...there seems to be some confusion on the Feedback..especially how to use...I'd suggest set it up at home and muck around with it to get it working. Plenty of that sort of App to choose from on Play Store...
Vegasthriller Posted November 21, 2015 Author #11 Share Posted November 21, 2015 Thanks guys! Yes we will be in constant contact with our family while on the cruise :) Infact we are in neighbouring cabins. It was more so if we wanted to organise something together or let them now where we are headed but they aren;t in their cabins. Sounds like the note trick should would ok :)
