balanceok Posted November 25, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 25, 2015 (edited) We´ve never flown either of these low-cost airlines, but I love their pricing for our pre-cruise flight from the US to Europe. So now the question is which one. Prices are pretty similar and would love your help in deciding if one is better than the other. Thanks. gatorphin Posted November 25, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 25, 2015 Like you, I liked their prices. We're flying Iceland Air from Orlando to Paris. Then Norwegian Air Barcelona to NYC. Never flown either.
skf Posted November 25, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 25, 2015 Don't forget to take into account the arrival time at your final destination. We would pay more for a morning arrival over an evening one.
bdfred Posted November 26, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 26, 2015 We're flying back next June on Icelandair. Taking advantage of their Stopover plan and spending 4 days there. Thought why not since I'm there. Learned about it on CC. Thanks gang!
skf Posted November 27, 2015 #5 Share Posted November 27, 2015 We're flying back next June on Icelandair. Taking advantage of their Stopover plan and spending 4 days there. That's a good plan in every way...& a great way to minimize jet-lag.
balanceok Posted November 28, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted November 28, 2015 I went ahead and booked Norwegian. Seemed to be more highly rated on different websites I checked. We´ll see.
vplsh Posted November 28, 2015 #7 Share Posted November 28, 2015 We're doing Icelandair for our cruise in June and staying over one night before the cruise. Sorry now that we didn't leave more time for the visit! Looks like a wonderful place!
slidergirl Posted November 28, 2015 #8 Share Posted November 28, 2015 I went ahead and booked Norwegian. Seemed to be more highly rated on different websites I checked. We´ll see. Norwegian Air Shuttle had some major TATL startup hiccups, but they have smoothed out. There were issues with the first 787s and they had to lease temporary aircraft. They originally charged for WATER on their TATL flights. Now that they have had a couple of years of TATL under their belts, things seem better… Heber City - Heber Valley Cheese, gelato at Spin Cafe, Chick's, The Train, Ream's… Love it!!! Magnum60 Posted November 30, 2015 #9 Share Posted November 30, 2015 Save me the search :D. Does Norwegian offer Business or First class seats on TATL flights? At 6'5" I'd rather swim to Europe than fly coach - regardless of the airline. Premium Economy is as far back as I can comfortably fit.
