Calgary Couple Posted December 2, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 2, 2015 (edited) Just a quick question... Going in January on Norwegian Jewel leaving from San Pedro. Anyone know if we can bring soda or water on board with us. I have read that all ports don't have the same rules. Also what is the best way to pack it if you can bring it. Thank you:) Edited December 2, 2015 by Calgary Couple
Rare sparks1093 Posted December 2, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 2, 2015 Yes, you may bring on soda and water. We always bring it in a carryon but I have heard of people putting a luggage tag on it and letting it be taken onboard.
valleyvillage Posted December 2, 2015 #3 Share Posted December 2, 2015 Some have reported no problem with just putting on a sticker with the stateroom number on a box of soda, others have said the porters balk. If you want to be sure, just buy a cheap piece of luggage (thrift store, goodwill) and pack it in! They will deliver that for sure!
Qwerty731 Posted December 2, 2015 #4 Share Posted December 2, 2015 Yes, you can bring a case of water or soda. We put a luggage tag on the case of water and it was delivered to the room with no problems.
pegbert Posted December 2, 2015 #5 Share Posted December 2, 2015 An alternative to lugging cases of water is to buy a Brita water pitcher with filter. We just did this on the Escape (and have done on previous cruises), and had all the filtered water we wanted for the week. We took our own water bottles to refill and keep in the cabin fridge, and voila... no lugging! FYI, I did try a sip of water from the bathroom faucet, just as a test since some people say it tastes fine.... yuk. But the same "bathroom water" through the Brita... perfect!
