Getaway Pre Cruise Questions

We're getting ready to cruise on the Getaway in a few weeks.

 

Just some quick questions that I wasn't able to find answers to here:

Have they started replacing the Spongebob/Dora/Nick stuff yet? Anyone know what they will be replaced with?

Have they fixed the broken slide in the kid pool?

Not sure about Question 1. We were just on a 2 weeks ago - entire kiddie area looked great. Slide was fine.

We were there last week, Spongebob Dora etc were all there.

SpongeBob was gone on our last two cruises in October and November on the Epic and Escape.

Hi Trueaggie We actually booked this cruise BECAUSE of Spongebob and the entire "Nick" cast. Sadly, we recvd a notice back in July that "Nickelodean"'s contract was not being renewed. I was disappointed. However, this is the 1st cruise our 8, 6,4 yr old grandsons will be taking..so they will be over the moon with the cruise itself. Our cruise rep said the were NOT replacing "Nick" with anything. :( Hope this helps....

Really?? I am surprised. I was given a written notice that Nickelod had not renewed their contract as of Jan 1 2016. Did they have the actual characters or just the statues???

Well at least the characters are still there. The grandboys will love that!! I've got a spongebob decal for our door on deck 13 .... If you see it stop by and say HI.
