i see that for 2016 there are a couple of 14 day Canada/New England cruises out of Boston and Quebec City; however, as of now there are only 3, 7 day and no 14 day cruises in 2017; is this typical that they add the longer cruises on later in the year for the following year or is NCL cutting down on these destinations? thanks;

The 14 day cruises being sold in 2016 on the Dawn out of Boston are just back to back combinations of 7 day cruises either Boston to Quebec or Quebec to Boston packaged and sold together as one cruise. Sometimes there is a little price savings doing it this way, sometimes not.

Canada/New England is on our bucket list. We will book two back to back cruises so our platinum benefits will be doubled. Stockholder benefit is actually a little better doing 14 day as one cruise with $250 OBC versus $100 OBC for 7 day cruise. The last two cruises we took we received stockholder OBC even though we had other promos. They didn't have to do it and I was actually expecting dinner for two and bottle of wine at Cagney's that we received before but the OBC was nice.

The Dawn does exactly 4 Canada and New England trips each year. Each direction has different ports - I know I could not decide so I made it a round trip. NCL has advertised the B2B idea since 2002 and maybe even earlier. It was only a few years ago where they made the 14 day trip an official cruise.

I booked my 2016 cruise back in Dec of 2014- the first day my TA could access bookings. Later NCL did not publish the 14 day Boston to Boston itinerary - so on My NCL the cruise shows up all wrong - I keep trying to get them to fix it - but all I get from my TA (and from NCL) is that according to their records everything is fine.

Now they are making a 14 day cruise out of the first and last New England sailing by adding a Bermuda run - Bos- Bermuda- Quebec and Quebec-Bos-Bermuda-Bos.

Now that it is 2016 the countdown is getting closer - yet September is still so far away :(

Longer Canada/NE itineraries I am missing too, a few years ago, NCL Gem and Jewel used to operate on 10 day Canada/New England cruises from NYC.

At least, you could combine the two 7 night sailings of Dawn to a 14 night back2back-itinerary, either from Boston or Québec. :)
