Carriecruises Posted January 8, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2016 My mother is going on the ruins tour and I have read a lot about how the "sack lunch" isn't all that and people have said to bring their lunch. Can you bring something off the ship?
jks336 Posted January 13, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 13, 2016 Technically, the answer is a big No. We are not allowed to bring food off the ship. Depending on which ruins you are going to, they may provide food. The Dzibilchaltún does have a small food place there which i heard is good. we are looking at doing that one as it is close and possibly add in the beach for a combo. reviews said they have food at the ruins which is quicker than trying to get it at the beach and better tasting. maldenmusic Posted January 13, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 13, 2016 You can take things that aren't open like boxes of cereal off the ship which we always do. The sack lunch to Dzib wasn't all that great but the day we went in June was so hot we didn't even feel like eating.
ABQrobin Posted February 8, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 8, 2016 we take 2 boxes of granola bars with us every cruise in our luggage... then pop a couple in my bag for excursions. As long as they are factoy sealed, no problem.
chief joe Posted February 11, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 11, 2016 If she is going to Dzib the restaurant there is good. We ate there and enjoyed the food.
