Favorite activities on Disney Dream with toddler

Sailing this summer with wife and 18 month old (age at sailing).

 

What is everyone's favorite activities or suggestions?

 

I have heard the Disney Jr. Wake up is fun ( what time is this at)?

 

- what kind of activities are there at castaway for the little guy?

 

- heard visiting oceaneers during open hours is good as well

As to times, you have to check your Navigator.

The wake up/exercise activity is something like 8:30 on some cruises, but check the Navigator.

 

There are no planned activities on Castaway for toddlers. There is sand and water. They might enjoy watching the 'crab races" or might not get into it at all. If you do a family bike ride, there are toddler seats available. You can walk around and see things. You might even see the Castaway Cat. There is live music. There is a game pavilion, but nothing in there is really toddler appropriate. Take along a bucket and shovel from the dollar store and plan to leave it there either at the kid area or trash. Play at the water's edge. Waves are a great treat to little people.

 

The child will not be allowed in the pools, but there is a splash area where swim diapers are allowed.

 

For sure, do open house times in the OC.

one more question- on the Disney dream, is the nemo splash area indoors or can adults sit in chairs by it? Trying to get an idea of the ship layout. Is there an additional splash area outside for the non- potty trained kids like the other ships?

Its outdoors but an inclosed space, so you can kind of sit outside it.

If you google disney dream nemo's reef, it brings up a few videos for you to look at and get an idea. Here is one video, but I suggest you also google for more videos on this and subject like it if you are unsure.

A lot of time they can provide a fuller explanation that just words!

Afraid not.

They are not allowed in most pools due to USPH regulations until they are out of diapers and potty trained.

The United States Public Health Service requires that only children who are toilet trained are permitted to enter swimming pools and spas aboard cruise ships. Children who are not toilet trained are welcome to enjoy our kids’ wet play areas and splash zones, where they must wear swim diapers. Please note: Swim diapers are not permitted in the pools, whirlpool spas, on the AquaDuck or in the AquaLab.

A good and valid location!

Also appropriate if the little one makes a deposit that not everyone else will have to see, evacuate the pool, or close the pool!
