The_Big_M Posted March 24, 2016 #326 Share Posted March 24, 2016 thats worth knowing, but does it mean early boards get in first , we board early so its ok but many wont be able to use the app until later and indeed many wont have an app at all, I wouldn't be sure it's definitive. Also, if it becomes a requirement there are a number of places where you can access the app publically, without it installed on your own device. dolphingirl47 Posted March 24, 2016 #329 Share Posted March 24, 2016 Pretty sure that's Harmony That is what I initially thought, but this photo was taken by somebody who was in Hamburg on a Fred Olsen cruise. As far as I am aware, the Harmony was not in Hamburg. Corinna

*Libby* Posted March 24, 2016 #333 Share Posted March 24, 2016 We were able to book times for IFly and NorthStar today on both the May 10 and May 26 sailings. Thanks for this - as soon as I read it this morning I went online and got both the IFly & NorthStar booked for 10th May too! :)

Expat Cruise Posted March 25, 2016 #337 Share Posted March 25, 2016 Let me be clear: the Quantum Class is a poor relation and if it was up to me, the three ships would be sold to NCL! While everyone is entitled to a opinion as a cruise passenger... as a shareholder who has made a very good return on Royal it is clear you do not understand the market. The Quantum Class is the future backbone of the Royal Fleet. It is the correct balance between passenger size vs revenue. It is large enough to have a great return on investment but still within the size that most ports and port support staff can handle. You maybe want to take a look at current Quantum Class ships leaving China, some of the highest rates per day found anywhere in the fleet. The new Ovation of the Seas could not even book the current cruises without at least one cruise being turned into a private charter. Quantum class means profit and market share. So if you do not like the ships as a passenger pick another ship or cruise line as you should be happy with the product you are purchasing. As a investor owner I think management has provide the prefect class ship for today's market.

Rare little britain Posted March 28, 2016 Author #342 Share Posted March 28, 2016 (edited) Loved the maiden voyage on Quantum, loved my short cruise on Anthem and looking forward to getting on Ovation. 17 days till her first sailing...... Cannot print bag tags Cannot print set sail You can book a North Star etc though Spectras is showing but the booking system does not let you pick a date or time, so that could be an IT thing. No othe entertainment is showing. Drinks prices still far more expensive than on comparable cruises. No, I'm not stressed, I know everything will be perfect on board, I'm just telling it how it is, before anyone starts. Sent from my iPad mini 4 using Tapatalk I agree with all you say, I am surprised at the cost of the new drinks package, but other ships either remove them or charge more on a 3 night. All will be good, but I think far from from perfect on the day, a new ship, first sailing will have a good few problems too iron out, these ships love people willing to travel on the first few cruises, I will be happy, enjoy all it offers if it perfect thats great if not it will be an experience and no doubt compensated by RCL is not perfect. but we are on all is getting booked for shows entertainment, so the fun starts soon
southwestie Posted March 28, 2016 #345 Share Posted March 28, 2016 what ever happens it will be fun, we have joining us now and that will make it even better, once the shows open for booking I will be happy:)

Dragonqueen Posted March 29, 2016 #347 Share Posted March 29, 2016 We can now book The Dream & Spectra's Cabaret for THE MAIDEN cruise - 17th April, The Dream is only on for the one night, Day 5, & only has 2 shows, 7pm & 9pm, guess it will be crowded. Spectra's Cabaret varies on the other 4 nights, Day 1 8:15 or 10:30 Day 2 7:45 or 10:15 Day 3 7:30 Day 4 8:15 or 10:30 I tried booking the day 2 10:15 but it wouldn't let me as there was a schedule conflict with my dinner reservation in Chic at 8:00 So I tried day 4 at 10:30 with Chic at 7:00 but again it wouldn't let me book it without re-scheduling Chic, when I tried to do this I couldn't because the times left were all after 9:00 & therefore had a "schedule conflict" How long are they expecting us to be in the restaurants for? Is service going to be that slow? I remember on Anthem they suggested to allow 2 hours for dining & I managed to book everything for a 16 nighter with no problems, there's 3.5 hours between our dining time & Spectra's Cabaret !!!!! In the end I cancelled Chic on Day 2 so that I could book Spectra's Cabaret so we will be either taking pot luck on the restaurants or Windjammer, either way no big deal, do you think it is just another annoying IT glitch?
