Global Entry

As discussed here and actually on some other threads Global Entry has started to roll out at some USA ports and we experienced it at Fort Lauderdale for the very first time this morning. Since we just got our global entry cards a couple of months ago and hadn't used them we stood on the Global Entry line. There were three lines including one for Global Entry. In our case Global Entry was the longest of the three lines so it would have been quicker in our case to have stood on one of the other lines. As they say it is the luck of the draw but just wanted to share our experience.

Global Entry is clearly great for entry back to the USA by plane and for the TSA Pre Check. Could be good at ports too but not for us today. We were not in a rush so it really didn't matter to us.

Oh and we didn't have the friendliest person. No welcome back to the USA mentioned.
