lindaler Posted January 21, 2016 #26 Share Posted January 21, 2016 That's great news! (pardon the pun).Mind if I ask which Canadian paper is it? I asked DH but he doesn't remember, we think it was an eastern one. We think the paper for the US was the Times? Maybe others will remember. For those who haven't sailed on HAL the papers are sent to the front desk where they print them on legal size papers, front and back, fold them in half. I think there is usually about 8 pages for each one. It covers sports, some weather, and headline news stories.

It is not an actual newspaper but a compilation of news items from the real newspapers. She always dropped off a Canadian and a UK paper each morning, and then I would pick up the NY Times one later to do the crossword.
retiredkid Posted January 21, 2016 Author #28 Share Posted January 21, 2016 thanks for the replies. I knew it wasn't the actual newspaper, but just wondered if it was the National Post or the Star or Sun. It will be good to get a synopsized version of what is happening. thanks again. It's good for keeping you in touch with what's happening "at home" when you feel so removed from it.:) DH is always anxious for the hockey scores as we always tend to cruise during the playoffs.
