paigebeverly Posted January 21, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 21, 2016 In the Bahamas we are doing the British Colonial Hilton day pass. 10 minute walk from the port, 60 dollars a person, and you get a 40 pp food and beverage credit. Figured since our time there was only 7 to 2 we would just relax. Not sure what we are going to do in St Thomas or St Kitts. We are going in June. cruisinforabruising Posted January 21, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 21, 2016 I'll be on the allure the 24th of April. I won't be using them this time because we have been to st marteen 3-4 times already but Bernard's tours was one of the best non cruise line shore excursion my wife and I have ever done. If you use them ask for DJ.

And can you just walk to "the city" and the beach from the port were we're "landing" at? Going on allure end of April.

St. Maarten is a longer walk to town and beach. You can take the water taxi for around $7 per person round trip and cut way down on the walk to town. St. Thomas is the longest distance to town and beach. You can walk, but you would probably do better to plan a taxi there. Jannevt Posted January 26, 2016 #8 Share Posted January 26, 2016 Our smallest is 1 1/2 and oldest is 4. How is it to get around in taxies over there? Do they have child seat?
Luxury mermaid Posted January 27, 2016 Author #9 Share Posted January 27, 2016 The majority of taxi's in St.Thomas are open air safari type taxis that do not have car seats. When we go the 1.5 year old sits on our lap and the 4 year old sits between us... Never had a problem as we go every year and stay on the island for a week at a time.
