iggycc Posted January 28, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2016 Do you think I can have room service send me a few lemons? I make lemonade with stevia for a 0 calorie mixer.
ShakyBeef Posted January 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 28, 2016 I would guess yes - they have lemons and serve them when tea is ordered, so I would think they would be willing to give you a couple. Just a guess. I have no experience with this, but you did ask "do you think", so I figured guesses were welcome.:o Good luck. If I were making this request, I would ask for just one or two lemons, then tip well when (if) they were delivered. The nice tip might make no difference, but it might also help your chances of getting a couple more lemons later.;)
ShakyBeef Posted January 28, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 28, 2016 Here's a recent thread asking about lemons: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2305813 ...maybe some of the suggestions there might work for you. Good luck.:)

Is there some reason you can't get them yourself? No way would I call room service to bring me lemons. What would you use for a container to make the lemonade? Capo Capitan Posted January 28, 2016 #8 Share Posted January 28, 2016 I initially thought: why not just carry-on lemons? Then I remembered: how would you cut them? :)
iggycc Posted January 28, 2016 Author #9 Share Posted January 28, 2016 thanks for all the replies. I would get a knife from the buffet to cut them. I have a water bottle that I squeeze a juice of a lemon in and add stevia water and ice. Makes great lemonade and 0 calories. I will wing it when I get on the ship. If I can't get enough at dinner time for the next day I might check with room service. I don't mind asking since I am a good tipper.

Then I remembered: how would you cut them? :) I think the real problem with carrying on lemons is the very big "no produce allowed" rule / law. Froufie Posted January 28, 2016 #13 Share Posted January 28, 2016 My daughter uses these (very handy in the packets) - in case you can't get 'real' lemons: http://www.truelemonstore.com/lemon-flavoring-s/1818.htm
Pesh Posted January 28, 2016 #14 Share Posted January 28, 2016 Room service will bring you lemons. I usually include them with another room service order so that they're not making the trip just for lemons, but I'm sure that would be fine too - that's what they're there for :)
