zdcatc12 Posted January 28, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2016 I have an Alaskan cruise booked for June, 2017. I have an 8M aft balcony, that already appears to be sold out (the category doesn't show up on the fare viewer). I didn't see that you couldn't do this on the T & Cs for ES, but if a higher category cabin that happens to not be an aft balcony (I assume only a mini-suite or suite, not sure of the higher categories) opens up at a lower fare, can I match to that category but keep my cabin in the lower category? loxley Posted January 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 28, 2016 No you have to match cat exactly. It does say that in the t & c. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
JLee1973 Posted January 28, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 28, 2016 It has to be matched to the exact category say 7A to 7A, 8J to 8J. They may allow you to upgrade but to the higher category but you will give up your room.
lemansz20 Posted January 28, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 28, 2016 What Jlee said, it has to be apples to apples. Sometimes you can call and ask to be upgraded since its the same price and they will allow you to do it. Call your pvp and see what he/she says.
