Rare Scrapnana Posted January 30, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 30, 2016 I hope she does sail at 4 pm and not the 10 pm that is still on the schedule. No idea why she would have to sail that late.
Boytjie Posted January 30, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted January 30, 2016 I hope she does sail at 4 pm and not the 10 pm that is still on the schedule. No idea why she would have to sail that late. I missed that! I went by the CruiseTimetables.com and Olivia websites which both list it at a 16:00/4:0 PM departure. I think I have head of occasions when charters have a performer the first night of the cruise but they disembark after the show, hence a late departure. I will be unable to be here for the sail-away as I have some church duties and then bar tending later at a party (gotta love Episcopalians). Krazy Kruizers Posted January 30, 2016 #8 Share Posted January 30, 2016 Thank you for the reminder. If it is at 4 PM I will try to be here. It has been a rough week and last week with the snow storm, we didn't get to go out for dinner. If it is at 10 PM -- I'll be asleep.

Rare Vict0riann Posted January 30, 2016 #11 Share Posted January 30, 2016 Thanks for the invite, Peter, but I will be at a funeral - unless she does leave at 10, then it might work for me! Hope all the addicts have a great time and Westie toots magnificently.:)
Rare Scrapnana Posted January 30, 2016 #12 Share Posted January 30, 2016 I plan to stay from at least 4-5 pm to see the usual Saturday ships sail away and if Westie doesn't leave until 10, will be back for that although it will be very strange to see her leave silently. Boytjie Posted January 30, 2016 Author #13 Share Posted January 30, 2016 (edited) Looking at the Olivia website for the cruise I noticed this on the itinerary: "*All aboard is 4pm." That makes me suspect they have an show/entertainer that will be disembarking before sail-away and could in fact depart at 10:00 PM. Krazy Kruizers Posted January 30, 2016 #17 Share Posted January 30, 2016 I doubt that you'll hear any toots at 10 PM. I agree. Horning blowing at that hour would wake up too many people -- especially children. In 2013 when we were doing a repositioning cruise on the Westerdam, we left at 7 PM and there was no tooting. Lizzie68 Posted January 30, 2016 #21 Share Posted January 30, 2016 Chatting to myself.:D But that was interesting, watching a paddle steamer coming in at quite a speed. Sounds like the fishing derby is still on.
Rare Scrapnana Posted January 30, 2016 #22 Share Posted January 30, 2016 Something very noisy just went by but my internet picture froze so I could only hear it but could not see what it was.
Mumsysailor Posted January 30, 2016 #23 Share Posted January 30, 2016 Not talking to yourself Lizzie, we're here. Didn't see the paddle steamer as DH is in charge of the laptop with the pictures. Lurking whilst we wait for the parade to begin.
