**HELP** Need Someone Who Has Actually Stayed in D736 or D737 on the Diamond

Hi All...
bcs819 and I are getting conflicting reports from our Princess reps on these mini-suites.

My Princess sales rep assured me that there is NO seating area in this mini-suite due to its original design as an accessible cabin.

bcs819's Princess sales rep assured him that there IS a seating area.

We both agree that the beds are definitely NOT covertible..and that there is no tub. Not the issueS for us...but the lack of seating area is troubling

We need someone who has actually stayed in either of these aft mini-suites to confirm for us...
Thanks so much!!!

Crowsie... while we were on the 3/13 Diamond inaugural, I personally check out cabin D737 because we had booked it for Alaska this August. There is no sitting area to speak of... I think there was a small chair and table but that was it. The bathroom is handicapp accessible so only a shower, no tub. The entry cabin door is larger than regular cabin doors because it, too, is handicapp accessible. The beds are definitely non-converting twins as the walk-way, from the balcony to the bathroom, comes between the 2 beds. The balcony is larger than regular mini-suites... a definite plus but for us, the one plus didn't outweigh the several minuses. We changed cabins. I didn't check out the cabin on the opposite side of the ship, D736, but a spoke to a cabin steward who assured me that cabin was the same configuration as D737. Hope this helps...

OK, Crowsie...
I just got off the phone with Princess again and asked about the shower and the couch. I was on the phone with "Tavia" for a good 15-20 minutes, who put me on hold to contact someone on the ship. Now, Tavia claims that she just received back from someone one the ship who went to go look at D737 that there IS a lip on the shower and there IS a couch. I explained to her that I was concerned specifically about those two things and she assured me that they were there. I then, very nicely, explained to her that was puttin gher name in my passport with a post-it and today's date and when I get on the ship, if this is not true, a couch, NOT a chair, I would be heading directly to the purser's desk. She put me on hold again and came back and said there is ABSOLUTELY a couch in D737. She did say that there may be a possibility that it was added since the Inaugural sailing.
If there is anyone going on the Diamond soon and has the nerve (I don't know if I do) to knock on the door of the cabin in question, please respond back I cannot change to another mini-suite as they are all booke don this cruise now....

Maybe a small sofa was added since the 3/13 inaugural (there was definitely NOT room for a larger sofa like those in the regular mini-suites) but why would they add a "lip" to the shower??? The shower was handicapp accessible with a drain around the shower, at floor level, to keep water from coming into the rest of the bathroom. Very curious!!

Suzy Cruzy is on the ship this weekend - I sent her an email asking her to confirm the above information.

I also have this cabin booked on a sailing which has all the minisuites sold out. There were 3 cabin choices left when I booked and I choose this one because of the balcony. I wish I could see a picture of this room.

I did hear back from Suzy last night and she is going to try to see it or ask the room steward. She is on a short coastal cruise - so hopefully she will have time to look into it. Will definitley let you know if I find out anything.

All minisuites are waitlisted on my sailing so I don't have much of a choice at this point.

Thanks for all your help guys!
I imagine it's possible that they added a sofa since the inaugural...
There are 4 of sailing (we each have our own minisuite), but we like to congregate for cocktail hour.
We usually use the balcony, but sometimes in the exotic areas it's too darn humid to sit outside in your formal duds!
What scares me is...even if Suzy is able to confirm that they put a couch in the mini suite on the Diamond...will they do it on the Sapphire too????
Just too risky for a 19 day cruise...
Can't wait to hear what she says tho'...but I'm going to kick myself for giving up those cabins if they turn out to have a seating area and a non-wet bathroom floor!!!
I think I'll just keep praying to the upgrade fairly to land me in an aft Vista suite!!!!

After a few drinks of the day, I might have had the nerve to go knock on someone's door and ask what their cabin looked like - hope she does
It doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things as all I coudl do now is downgrade, but I still want to know-
Maybe we should have sent her a bottle of wine

Suzy got home late last night. She did get into one of the cabins (odd side) and took pictures. The room was unoccupied. The mini-suite did NOT have a couch.

She will put her pictures in her photo album and will share them with us. I am anxious to see these pictures.

Thank you Suzy!
