Stillstoked Posted February 14, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted February 14, 2016 I don't play my music loud. Are the walls really that thin?
leaveitallbehind Posted February 14, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 14, 2016 (edited) I don't play my music loud. Are the walls really that thin? No they are not that thin - in fact they are very well insulated. But music if played too loud can travel. In particular if played on your balcony, at which point everyone around you will hear. Another thing to keep in mind is the inside of your stateroom can become very windy if the balcony slider is open - and your stateroom door will slam shut if opened due to the pressure differential. FireStation46 Posted February 14, 2016 #6 Share Posted February 14, 2016 I will bring my Bose QC25 headphones to listen to Audible books, The Beatles, Light Rock of the 60's , 70's , Country Music 50's - now etc. The headphones keeps noise around me out, does not stick in my ear like this earbud deals and get itchy and mungy, and folks can't hear what i am listening to. :D

motobk Posted February 26, 2016 #8 Share Posted February 26, 2016 I keep a Bahamas Mix on my Ipod. It has everything from Jimmy Buffet, Beach Boys, Reggae, to Classic Rock. Anytime I hear a song that makes me think about the cruise, beach, or the ocean, I add it to the list. Rock the Boat, Electric Avenue, Louie Louie, Three Little Birds, Southern Cross. Heck, it even has the Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Song!

Host Walt Posted February 26, 2016 #14 Share Posted February 26, 2016 Don't worry, be happy (Bobby McFerrin)* What a Wonderful World (Louis Armstrong version) Anything Barry White * Back in the '80's Sitmar played that song when we sailed out of San Juan heading to St. Thomas on schedule at 1:00am. Kinda lonely on deck but boy did that song hit our emotions at the time!
Stillstoked Posted February 29, 2016 Author #15 Share Posted February 29, 2016 motobk, Host Walt, Flatbush Flyer, 1oldpirateandhismatey, thank you, those are great ideas. And to all those worried that i may leave my balcony door open for an extended period of time or play my music too loud, please rest assured that I am very respectful to those around me and would never do anything to ruin another s vacation. I am guessing the balcony door is a hot topic issue. There are TV's in the room correct? do they come with head phones? I would hate to disrupt my neighbors.
